Friendly stuff, good athmosphere, very quiet at night, nice public area in front and in the entrance of the hostel where the travellers meet, very good kitchen, enough space in the fridge, always clean, clean toilets and showers, clean rooms
This hostel is extremely dated and needs to be brought into the 21st century. Very disappointed by the lack of lockers as you are totally at the liberty of your roommates as far as security is concerned. There are lockers in reception but you have to pay extra to use them which is a bit of a joke! Pretty good location near to the bus station and not too far to walk to the beach. All in all ok for a night or 2
The best thing about Arava is its location, only a 5min easy walk from the airport and 10-15 minutes down the main beach/promenade in Eilat. The rooms are very very small and mine had no window so felt a bit claustrophobic. Showers are also unisex and very very small and a bit difficult to use. I was a bit disappointed with the breakfast considering it was at an extra cost. Overall though a perfectly acceptable hostel and would stay here again because of the location.
THE HOSTEL IS EASY TO FIND FROM THE CENTRAL BUS STATION.NEAR TO SHOPS,RESTAURANTS,NOT A LONG WALK TO THE BEACH.GOOD WFII BUT ONLY IN THE RECEPTION WHERE YOU SIT,NOT IN THE ROOMS. THE ROOMS NEED UPDATING IN LINE WITH OTHER HOSTELS IN EUROPE.GIRLS DORM,NO WINDOW/DARK,ONLY ONE KEY FOR THE ROOM.NO LOCKERS FOR SECURITY.NO LIGHTS BY THE BED/PLUGS.AIRCON BARELY WORKS,SO IN SPRING/SUMMER IT WILL BE SO HOT.YOU CAN BUY BREAKFAST.STAFF WILL HELP WHEN ASKED
The location is convenient if you plan to walk to the Jordanian boarder to leave Isreal. The self service kitchen is well maintained for those who prefer to cook your own meals.
