Very kind and helpful staff in this hostel who give good information about where to go - especially for snorkeling. There are good facilities for cooking and I liked the refectory with its big windows that allow a glance at the beautiful garden terrace with its herbs and other plants.
Arava is a nice place to stay in Eilat. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our only slight criticism was that there is a charge for everything - from coffee to bag storage. But nevertheless, a good base from which to explore the city and its beaches, which are a short bus ride away.
We very much enjoyed our stay at Arava Hostel. It's very good value for money, we got much more than we expected. The facilities are great and very clean, staff is very friendly and the atmosphere relaxed and super nice. We spent most evenings in the little garden in front of the hostel having beers and chatting with other travellers. I definitely can recommend this hostel to everybody, not only young people but also families. And I loved the israeli breakfast!

Best hostel EVER. Located 2 min. walking from the bus station, it has a terrace (with amazing views of the red mountains) where you'll get to hang out with other travellers. The staff is GREAT, funny and always ready to help. They have great tips for trips to Jordan and Egypt and they can book tours if you wish so. The rooms and bathroom facilities are simple, but always very clean. There is a fully equipped kitchen where you can cook delicious meals after shopping at the close supermarket. GO!!
You get what you pay for, average hostel, it has everything you need. Very close to the central bus station which was useful for us, not far from the promenade/beach either, about a 10-15min walk. Bathroom was very clean, good powerful showers.
Three of us, all older women, enjoyed our stay at Arava. The staff was more than accommodating for special requests. My only complaint: it would have been good to know ahead of time that we would need to provide our own soap and pay for towels. Minor issue resolved on checkin: I requested three beds, and your acknowledgement of my reservation stated so. Arava had no record of this and initially gave us a room with two beds.
