Although we booked this hotel, we actually stayed next door at the hotel Cara Mia, which is very nice and very Florentine.
This is one of the best hostels I ever stayed in because: -it was very clean (including shared bathrooms!) -close to the train station and major tourist attractions -the staff was fairly helpful and friendly -the free breakfast was plentiful with lots of options -it included a beautiful courtyard to eat or relax in -reliable wifi -air con included -it was a quiet hostel The only things I didn't like was that the front door was left open (though the 24hour receptionist was there).
This is a good location to visit Florence. It is clean, safe and near to the train station. The receptionist was rude, even unpleasant (very un-Italian). The breakfast was a little disappointing.
I don't have much to say... the blonde guy that worked the evening shift was rude (the daytime guy was awesome though!), the internet didn't function in my room... but, my room was clean, there are a lot of nice common areas, breakfast is decent if you get there early, and it is really close to the train station!
It's not a bad place. On the downside: there's graffiti on the walls and the food ranges from sketchy to downright bizarre (I was served a tomato paste pasta for breakfast). However, everything is well secure in the rooms, it's five minutes from the train and just ten from the Duomo and everything was rather well maintained.
The breakfast is amazing. It's buffet with variant menu. There's an elevator and free internet facility. You can refill your water near the reception office.
good location , excellent free breakfast I would definitely recommned this hostel. good hostel with the reasonable price.
By far the best hostel I've been to while travelling. I could not recommend this hostel enough. Excellent service, excellent rooms, excellent prices in a beautiful city!
Have given an average for facilities as my single bed did not have an individual reading light or socket which all the other bunk beds in my room had. The bed was also situated right outside the bathroom door and next to the lockers which made it impossible to sleep when others were coming in late or getting up early. Other than that the facilities were good.
Hotel is very closed to the railway station S.M.N. and has a great location. Room is very clean and large. Staff are kind and the breakfast is wonderful. I recommend Archi Rossi Hotel.
Great hostel with a great location. It even includes a buffet spread for breakfast. All it is missing to be perfect is an air-conditioning system.
Please find a way to fix the shower doors so water doesn't get everywhere when someone showers.
This hostel and adjoining hotel, owned by the same family, are absolutely wonderful. I have stayed there twice and plan on staying at this hostel or hotel any time I visit Firenze. The environment is bright and welcoming, the rooms are clean and the area is safe and beautiful. Breakfast and internet access are included and there is a beautiful garden and terrace in the center of the hostel/hotel. This was also one of the most inexpensive hostels/hotels I have ever stayed at while in Italy!
A gat great hostel! The breakfast the best thng ever! And also the location, i really recomend it, i already did to a couple of friends and they are going ;)
No air conditioning here. Do not go in July... not a good idea. They say they have AC but it is more of a hot fan than anything. Staff very helpful. Cool water and drinks for good price. All major sites within walking distance. Clean with buffet free breakfast. Great place to stay. Met some very nice ppl. Quiet at night. No escape from the heat.

Love the outdoor area and free breakfast! Only one toilet and shower for 9 people makes getting ready in the morning and going to bed at night pretty challenging. It was ridiculously hot with a window that did not catch a breeze at all. Fans of some sort would be a nice addition to the rooms. Plenty of outlets, and decent security, they didn't always check our key when we came in. Not bad, and the location can't be beat!
Incredible free breakfast, really cool looking hostel
We enjoyed our stay at the hostel and felt we were getting our money's worth with free wifi, breakfast (don't leave food outside unattended, it will be attacked by pigeons -they may even do so with you present) and a free two hour guided walking tour. The tour was great in showing us the city and helping us to decide what we would like to look at in detail. The hostel also offers cheap water, but asks 8 Euros (drier and washing machine) WITHOUT providing washing powder.
