Not a good hostel to meet people if you are a solo backpacker but they have computers. The old italian man was really nice once you get to know him.
This hostel didn't have a really social atmosphere at all - I feel it's a bit too big for that, and thus more targeted towards families and larger groups. That being said, it has great amenities - wifi, computers available, good showers, lockers in the rooms (lock and key provided), and the best breakfast I've ever seen out of a hostel - straight buffet, everything you could ask for. So, it's a little pricier than the average European hostel, but with breakfast included, it's not bad at all.
We stayed in a private twin room with ensuite which was at their sister hotel next door. A fantastic location, only a five minute walk from the Duomo, street markets, and S.M.N train station. The room was perfect, clean, spacious and a comfortable bed. The breakfast was fantastic! A perfect place to stay in Florence.
That is the best hostel I have ever been to!Great breakfast, nice staff, lovely rooms, good atmosphere.thanks!
Definitely a great atmosphere! The whole place just felt welcoming and friendly the whole time. Amazing huge lockers to lock your things as well as a safe at the desk if need be, and the best breakfast buffet of any hostel I've ever stayed at. Would definitely stay again. Only thing is it's a bit of a hike into Florence, but conveniently close to the train station and the leather market. Plus Florence is so small, that it's not a big deal.
We booked a double room, which meant we weren't actually in the hostel, but located next door at the adjacent hotel. Hotel room was excellent, breakfast included and it was brilliant. The hostel and hotel share the courtyard space between them, and you can still use all the hostel facilities.
Great stay, very convenient location. Can't beat their breakfast either. The terrace is fun at night
Staff and kitchen are excellent, with availability of good breakfast and cheap evening meals( and cheap wine). Great atmosphere. Prob best hostel ever stayed in. Fantastic!
Overall most of the staff I interacted with seemed annoyed or too busy to deal with any questions I had. You sent all your blankets out to be cleaned while I was there, which I understand. However, I requested an additional sheet to make up the difference and the person behind the desk was very unhelpful and never even checked to see if this could be an option. Great breakfast and location, but that's about the only good things I can say about this place.
I really liked the location and the free walking tour, they were many thing to see. The staff help me a lot and they were really nice.
Great location with easy access to the train. The facilities are relatively clean. Only complaint is that the breakfast was poor.

Good location, very close to the train station and a few minutes away from the main sites. Room was nice and clean, with a small bathroom inside to share with roommates, the matress was confortable and there is a shelf and power unit for each bed. Wifi available in the room but computer also at disposition in common area. The breakfast was good, plenty of stuff to choose from : tiramitsu, salads, cheese, cereals, etc... Nice patio next to the breakfast/diner room to chill.
Excelent breakfast. The best I´ve had in all hostels I´ve been. Not to recomendable to stay in a female dorm 12 beds with Korean unrespectfulll girls. Not a hostel for party.
perfect hostel if it had a kitchen for cooking. Everything else was top notch
Excellent value for the money. Excellent location. Laundry was 4 euros per wash and 4 euros per dry. Wine was cheap. Breakfast was lots of choices and good. Cold cold water for drinking and filling flasks. The a/c didn't work one night - extremely hot and noisey to leave the window open at night.Staff tried to help and it was fixed by the next day . We were in the hotel next door - two people private bathroom. Free walking tours of the city - excellent. Lots of young people
It was very clean and organized, and I felt safe. The free breakfast buffet every morning that was pretty decent, and the free walking tour in the morning was pretty cool. The beds were clean and relatively comfortable, but the ladders to go up to the top bunk were very wobbly, and felt unsafe. I ended up sort of standing on the desk and the chair to get up. Also, the staff were not the most friendly, I felt that I was bothering them if I asked a question. computers were super slow
The hostel is very homely and it has nice staff!
The location is great! 5 min from train station and ~15 min from all the attractions (in different directions). The breakfast is king size! The water they sell is the cheapest rate in the city (its the same brand, yes prices differ from shop to shop!) If you are too worried about security and homely atmosphere then this hostel is a bit messy with too many people and narrow corridors (its an old Florentine building in the city center, so!). Otherwise its perfect for a short and busy stay!
Overall it was a good stay! The location was perfect- in the heart of Florence with restaurants and gelato places everywhere as well as close to the main train station! The main negative was the fact that the bathroom in our room had one shower with one toilet for 9 people and there was no curtain dividing the two. The wifi was extremely poor and didn't work in the rooms very well.
Great place. Nice staffs, close from railway station and tourists places(Florence is quite small city). I was glad to stay here and gonna recommend this place to anyone planning to visit Florence. Great breakfast. So many things to eat!!!!!
