Stayed 2 nights, arrived very early and despite having spare beds was not allowed to check in until 12pm. The free breakfast was probably the worst I've seen. Just tea, old bread rolls, jam & butter. Would be nice to offer coffee and milk, if not some fresh bread. Bathrooms, kitchen and common areas very well maintained and all in all very comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful, but breakfast lets it down.

Great hostel!

I enjoyed my stay at Arequipay Backpackers Downtown, and I would recommend it to other travelers. The wifi worked pretty good, the showers were usually warm, there were plenty of bathrooms, the staff was really helpful, the building was continuously clean, lots of nice places to relax, close to the plaza, and they had a guitar!

Definitely one of the best hostel I have ever stay. Nice atmosphere, just ten minutes walk to city center, nice back yard area, nice and helpful staff!! Highly recommend!

Great hostel in Arequipa! Staff really makes you feel at home, lots of space for socializing. Really nothing that I missed here. Go there, they are the best in Arequipa!

Great hostel in a good location. Helpful staff, comfy beds & clean bathrooms. Nice back yard area to chill out in. Also two kitchens to cook your own food. The tour we booked through the hostel was good as well.

Great hostel! Staff was very nice and helpful. We booked 2 days trekking in colca canyon with them and they kept our backpacks during it. Nice kitchen to cook in and nice location!

Super helpful reception nice place to hang out

Great vibe, social hostel but not a party hostel. Apart from the showers great facilities. Showers are often deceivingly warm when you get in and change to freezing when you least expect it. Staff at reception aren't particularly efficient so even leaving laundry can take half an hour sometimes...

very very nice hostel, spacious, clean, bright! - garden area with hammocks, pool tabe, pingpong table, foosball, huge tv. breakfast is just butter and jam- but your best pick in arequipa!

Good place to meet people, with a good atmosphere.

Terrific hostel! Great facilities and clean rooms.

Best hostel we've stayed in in South America. Helpful staff, very clean, hot showers, comfortable warm rooms, lockers, loads of activities in hostel, booked a colca canyon tour through the hostel and it was a good price and good tour. Would stay again. Only thing that could be improved is breakfast, very simple, but this is the same almost everywhere.

Amazing facilities and staff. There are several common areas with TVs, pool table, ping pong table, and kitchen.

Amazing place. Great helpful staff. Secure storage for bags when going to colca canyon. Nice location and layout of the place. Good beds and warm blankets. Very clean. Good tour options, we did the two day colca one and it was awesome! All for very cheap, awesome! Warm showers. Would recommend it to anyone!

I loved this place! Stuff are awesome, facilities are incredible (full kitchen, tv room, videogames room, pool room, hammocks...) Good to meet people if your a solo traveller. Nice free breakfast. I would totally recommend it!

Nice beds and common spaces, realmente hot showers. It was a perfect stay but the personel attention is.not so good if you don't check the tours with them.

From the hammocks and wooden floors to the good-sized

Would definitely recommend this hostel. Clean, new, had hot showers, loads of bathrooms and showers about, they kept our luggage while we went on a tour for a few days trekking, friendly staff, had good wifi, tv rooms, play station room. They organised our colca canyon trekking tour which was handy. They also had a laundry service where you leave stuff in at 9 and get back at 6. The breakfast was just bread and jam but fine like! Was a good choice!

Overall we had a good experience. We got there really late, around 2.00 a.m, and our room was waiting for us. They received us very well. The only problem we had was that the bed we got had tons of hair, I certainly didn't like that. When we asked for a sheet change the other morning, they were happy to comply though. The water pressure is really bad, but you always get hot water. The breakfast service is regular, very simple, unless you pay extra. You can walk downtown, but it's not that close.
