Great hostel, great staff. Actually had my birthday there and it was so much fun. However, a German guy got his sim card from his phone card stolen and some other girl got 10,000 Chilean pesos stolen from her wallet.

Pretty much the only hostel to stay a in Arica. Stayed n the 12 bed dorm and it was huge! Beds were really comfortable. Big area out the back to hang out, play ping pong, cable tv, good kitchen and a good vibe. Very chilled out vibe. Scrambeld eggs and proper coffee for breakfast with fresh squeezed orange juice. Walking distance to el gringo of you're a surfer, maybe 20mins or the bus stops right on front of the hostel, only costs 350peso. The beach is a short taxi ride for 1500peso, us$3.

Loved it here at surf house! Great atmosphere, with an awesome communal Area with table tennis, good kitchen and a place to either chill or party w other travelers! Staff were amazing and joined in a lot of the fun. Good location in town, beach either a decent walk or cheap can ride away. Breakfast was also great with an eggs or cereal option!!

Definitely the best hostel in town! I have never seen a 12 bed-dorm so spacious! Great breakfast and atmosphere, directly at the center of Arica - good place to stay!

We loved the Arica Surf House. The rooms were of a much higher standard than any other hostel we had stayed in. There is a relaxed, chilled out vibe and the chill out area is amazing. Enourmous space where you can just hang out, watch DVDs, cook a meal in the emmaculately clean kitchen or play ping pong. The breakfast was the best we have had yet. Latte coffee or tea plus fruit juice, scrambled eggs, toast and apricot jam and that´s all included in the price. Internet was relatively fast too!

What a great hostel! Really cool place with nice rooms, clean bathrooms and great common areas. Also has a cafe in-house. The breakfast was great and even though we got up late they still made us breakfast - the staff are really great here. Lots of advice on the town and help on getting to the airport.

It is a surfhouse, not really for backpacker. Be prepared you won't get a breakfast before your daytrip to NP Lauca - even if you ask for it. And it's possible, that you get only two small pieces of toast and not more. But it is the best location in the town.

Really chilled out hostel. VEry helpfull owner. Cool TV room for chilling out and great kitchen. Not a party hostel but I don't think that Arica is that type of place. Great for surfers.

Stayed here for one night, great hostel. Stayed in the 12 bed dorm, only one bunk bed, the rest are single beds. Great breakfast, clean rooms/bathrooms and great TV room. The staff were very helpful.

Easy going, relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Nice mix of surfers, backpackers, and local travelers. Very clean, big open kitchen and living area, good breakfast and espresso coffee, central to town. However a little far from most well known surf breaks, but still within walking distance. The owner is right into the local surf scene and more then helpful to get you in the water. I would recommend and return to this hostel.
