We loved staying at Arica Unite! Jenny and her enthusiastic team are wonderfully helpful and very welcoming people. The hostel is a 2 minute walk to the beach and close to shops and the bus terminal. We felt right at home, enjoying a massive home cooked feast of the best seafood paella we've ever eaten, lovingly prepared by resident Jojo. This is the best hostel in Arica! No need to look anywhere else. Thank you Jenny for a wonderful experience.
Awesome couple who run it, Jenny and Nico made you a delicious breakfast every morning (crepes, waffles, fruit...) and were super helpful with anything we needed. The place was very clean, great solar heated showers and awesome full kitchen to work with. In a residential neighbourhood, but very safe and right next to the beach! Would stay again!!
Wonderful hostel with amazing staff. Ask for recommendations if you wanna go out for dinner - you won't regret it! It's not in the center of Arica (walking takes roughly 15min to get to the main street), but it's very close to the coast if you're up for some surfing. Arica itself is a nice place to chill - too bad we didn't have one more day to stay there :)
We booked 3 days to begin with but ended up staying 11 days. Arica is a wonderful city, and Arica Unite is located perfectly just by the beach. We loved the relaxing and friendly vibe on the hostel. Nico and Jenny makes the best breakfast and it's different every morning. They are really nice and makes you feel welcome and at home. The kitchen in Arica unite was the best equipped and cleanest we've seen in a hostel so far! We want to come back one day :)
The hostel has a soul surfer. Its location is very good (close to the beach Chinchorro), despite the humble appearance. The staff that manages and operates the hostel is excellent!

I LOVED my stay at Arica Unite. The place is super chilled, staff welcoming and the views of the beach were lovely. It was a nice beach getaway. Fanny makes amazing breakfast everyday, she's also a wealth of knowledge about the town. And, surfing with Yoyo was amazing.
This hostel was just great. Really clean. Very close to the beach . Big kitchen and rooms and clean bathrooms. Fanny was fantastic. She gave us advice, cooked a delicious and different breakfast every morning and was just a really fun and friendly host. She did all the cooking and all the cleaning herself and still had time to offer us tips and a friendly chat. We all had a great time here and I would stay again, even just to have Fanny's French toast one more time!
I spent a week here... A perfect place to relax, learn to surf with Yoyo, get to know fellow travellers and the locals and you'll love it here. Fanny is amazing. Fantastic cooked breakfast.
Great crew right by the beach and close to town centre
Instead of one night we ended up staying three. For all travellers who want to relax and recharge from a long a trip! A very helpful staff, including a nice surfing instructer inside the house, was making our stay amazing. We definitely recommend it!
The staff was very helpful and friendly. I really enjoyed that all the service was very personalized, including breakfast which was good. It is a bit far from downtown, but if you are up for it you can walk. It would've been great if they had maps and better information regarding the city, and its historical landmarks and main attractions. Hot water and pressure was great. Overall it was a pleasant stay.
Great hostel near the bus stop. Hot showers were nice and wifi was good. Only thing I'd change would be the lockers. They were made of a flimsy material (almost cardboard) and it'd be easy to rip off the lock.
Great hostel close to the beach. Great facilities and good basic rooms.
Very friendly staff, we loved our stay here. About a 10 min walk into town which is ok during the day. Very close to the bus station, within walking distance.
The hostal is an easy walk from the bus terminal and located 2 minutes from the beach - which is also a great surf spot! It is about 15 minutes walk from the center of town in a quiet area with lovely views. Fani is a very welcoming hostess who helped us with any questions or advice we needed - restaurants, surf lessons, what to do in town, etc. The rooms, bathrooms and kitchen were always clean with good beds, supplies, etc. Not a party hostel but was full of interesting people. Enjoy!
Not sure why the hype. Very average. GOOD: 2 min walk from beach, 10 min from bus station
I really enjoyed my stay here. Good location between the bus station and the beach and it is the kind of place where you can happily spend a few hours lounging on the sofas. The most memorable thing is how much everyone connected to the hostel cares about their guests - they really really really do care that you are happy and enjoying your stay. I could only really suggest that breakfast could be (much) bigger. I'd definitely stay here again.
This is one of the best hostels in South America I have stayed in. The staff is very friendly, helpful and informative, especially Fanny. The location about 10 minutes from the bus terminal and 15 minutes from centre is great. You can find easily a local market and a big supermarket around. Breakfast is different everyday, always fresh and delicious and kitchen is fully equipped. I have met nice people there. It is excellent value for money, I definitely would come back there.
Perfect place to stay. Staff is great, place is clean, showers are hot, wifi works well, breakfast is very nice. It's a bit of a walk to the center. Ask for a room upstairs. Mine was downstairs next to the common areas: not suited for naps or long sleeping. But 100% recomendable.
Although we were booked in to the hostel on the night of a powerful earthquake, and therefore ended up sleeping on the floor of a communal shelter some distance away (we had been in town at the time), Jenny's welcome at the hostel, and concern for our safety in the morning when we returned, was heartwarming! The place is clean and pleasant, the showers hot, and Jenny even managed to knock up a breakfast of coffee and crepes for us, despite the continuing power cut.
