on our first trip to this hostel it was a pleasant stay so we decided to return two days later after a trip to the islands. We double checked the price and availability before leaving. Upon return the guy at the front desk decided to charge us 30 per night instead of the original 20-25 previously stated, even when we said we had talked to someone and had booked online before. The sheets also did not reach the end of the beds and majority of the lights did not work in our room.

Although this is not in a good neighborhood, especially when traveling alone, the staff was fantastic. Breakfast was lacking, but was suitable. The gentlemen that work the front desk are great to ask about the city, or Greece in general. I would stay there again, but only if I had someone with me to walk back at night.

We wanted a cheap hostel for one night in Athens before our island hoping. That was fine. We missed the breakfast because we left too early. Because the receptionist was too pessimistic about the traveling time to Piraeus, we left much too early. It is a bad area - but nothing was really problematic. We liked and tried to come again (but it was full)

Wifi did not work for the 2 days we were there. Also, the airconditioner was old and didn't work properly

This is the second time I've stayed at the Aristoteles and I have been pleased both times. The only thing I would add is that there is quite a difference in the local environment than there was when I stayed there 6 years ago. I would not stay there if I was a single woman.

Good value for money.. Dont expect anything fancy. Just a clean room to stay for couple of nights. Free wireless internet and aircondition is all you need. Not in the safest area (nothing happened to me) but i used taxi which is quite cheap so i was dropped off just outside the hotel's door

Ok with the hostel but the location is very unsafe. especially by night. There is wi-fi, breackfast and clean rooms for a very cheap price.

Aristoteles is a convenient and cheap hotel. Easy to get to from the airport via the metro, and the staff organised our taxi to piraeus. It was perfect for a quick stop over on our way to the islands.
