It was very calm when I was there, bit too calm. It's not a place to party at all. The beds were very comfy though. They should put lockers in the rooms. It's a nice place.

When trying to rent towels the staff member went in search of change, desperately hugging the towels to herself as if we would try to steal from their meager stash. Then our room-beware of the top bunk- you're practically scraping against the ceiling. The bathrooms were no better. The staff never seemed to be around. We were given the brush off when we knocked on the staff room door to explain their was no one around- we weren't even sure which room was reception. All we wanted to do was pay!

Two showers for the whole house. If u like hot or even warm showers u should stay somewhere else but thats the only big minus everything else was fine.

The staff was awake with other tenets until 1 AM playing music and being EXTREMELY LOUD!!! We had nearly no sleep due to this. Very disappointed. They have signs around the hostel to keep the music down after 11pm but they don't listen to their own rules. Will never use again

Very warm welcome! On arrival we were greeted with tea and good conversation. Enjoyed the real coal fires in reception and living rooms. Accommodation was good, we had enough space and we were warm throughout our stay. Breakfast was good, kitchen facility and order was good. We met Arnie on our leaving morning,he was a very pleasant man! Well done sir! Best, Stephen

Cozy, homey atmosphere in a great location close to Queen's and a lot of shops/restaurants. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The place was nice and warm, the kitchen well-stocked, the beds comfortable, and they offer a good breakfast. Overall a great hostel: definitely stay here while in Belfast!
