nice hostel and really nice staff, but really cold in winter because there are no heaters in the rooms.

The hostel was an excellent experience, with great prices, a friendly atmosphere, and a nice kitchen. It's located on the opposite side of the CBD than most of the highlights of the city, which is somewhat inconvenient, but in every other way it was great. The free internet on the computers in the library was definitely an excellent bonus.

Not a bad little Hostel. Nice and helpful staff. The private room was a bit odd because it was designed as a 'love nest' type of room with a creepy mirror on the roof. Plus it was a seperate bungalow so we had to walk outside in the middle of the night to use the bathroom or kitchen. But still not a bad place at all.

A lovely, well maintained hostel with clean facilities. There is strict quiet time enforced overnight which helps when you want to sleep. All the staff were friendly and helpful. They arranged a taxi for me to take me to the airport in the middle of the night with no hassle.

Great little place in a decent location. Lots of items/oils/spices/sauces available for use in the kitchen and the toilets were always pretty clean. They are not too keen on having you keep your bag there for too long once you've checked out.

Great stay here. Good that I don't mind hiking to the nearest supermarket, about 30 minutes away. 9/10 for ATW. They lost a point because my bus didn't leave until 2pm, checkout is 10 and if I wanted to stick around I had to pay another $5... They don't tolerate alcoholics either so I was able to get a good nights sleep, marvellous. Paul holmes

The hostel is a good value for money, beds are comfortable but facilities aren't that good, especially showers... Otherwise free wifi and location not bad. Friendly staff !

Amazing staff. Really a home away from home. Would recommend to others! I'm a female traveling alone and felt very safe, welcomed and advised. Clean too!

Lovely stay here. Staff were lovely. Just a short walk over to main bits. Went on easter weekend and got free hot cross buns and mini eggs! Nice homely feel. Recommended.

Very nice and helpful staff :) Kitchen well provided with everything you need to cook, nice garden to have breakfast, not far from the city centre and bus station. Only bad thing... beds not very comfortable.

Thank you sooooooo much, Lee and Geri. I had really good time in the hostel. I do feel it is a home away from home. I appreciate all your help and the friendly atmosphere you create.

The best hostel I stayed in of all of NZ! The owners were so welcoming and made us feel like human beings, not nameless backpackers. It felt like I was staying at someone's house, a big change from the Base Hostels!! Clean kitchen and bathrooms, garden, lovely people who quickly became friends. The beds were really comfortable and it was so nice not to be woken up every hour by a drunk person coming in or out of the room!
