This was the quietest hostel I have ever stayed in. Staff was excellent.

Was only there overnight but enjoyed my stay. Only thing to complain about is that you spelt my name incorrectly - it's Karen, not Kareb! No biggy though.

Very well run hostel. Computers were very slow but you can't complain when they're free! Good atmosphere. Everyone was very friendly. Sky TV is also a bonus. I had a lot of time to kill before my flight so it was good to have something to watch!

We only stay one night in Christchurch, I feel pretty good, if given the opportunity then to Christchurch, we still would choose it!

I think they should separate male and female bathrooms.

No lockers in the rooms, that's why a "poor" in the category "security". The staff was amazing!

Very nice hostel. We arrived on Christmas Day and there was absolutely nothing open in Christchurch. Lucky for us the hostel had a free Christmas dinner. The guests were friendly and staff very helpful. Not extremely close to the city centre, but the walk was pleasant.

I stayed on Christmas Day, and the owners very kindly supplied us all with a big home-cooked meal and lots of drinks. It was pretty terrific. Sam the day manager is a very cool guy. Nice garden out the back for relaxing; comfortable rooms. Had a great time and really enjoyed my short stay. Would definitely return!

The British guy running the hostel was semi-cool when we were hanging out, but when I checked in, he was NOT COOL. The blurb says they have a safe for your stuff since they don't have lockers... well, it was full (with THEIR stuff - his words). I said well, your website says you have a safe... and he answered, "I'll have to change the website then." No dude, you go make room and keep your promises. Just an uptight hostel with a million "no this, no that." Would not stay here again - bad vibe.

The ladies' bathroom had a urine smell in it. The bed was not very comfortable and had a musty smell.

Hostel is nice, clean and with good facilities. Staff are excellent and will do anything they can to help. Sadly though Christchurch is not a fun place to be at the moment, very depressing time. I wish everybody who lives there the best for the reconstruction period

This is just what a hostel should have: friendly staff, good amenities, big spacious rooms, big, clean, well-equipped kitchen, and lots of free stuff! It's been fun relaxing here and getting used to the city. The staff were all very helpful and laid back. They had lots of good advice of things to do and see. I extended my stay and you'll see why when you come here.
