Art-Hostel Riverside Reviews

Staff was friendly, wifi worked, breakfast was good, water was hot. Location is close to bus station but definitely rough and alarming at night. The bedroom corners were dusty/dirty and there were cobwebs on the ceiling, the kitchen area was serviceable but crowded, the bathrooms were a bit dodgy, and the linens were worn. Fine for this part of the world, but adjust your expectations. After Prague, Budapest, and Belgrade, etc., this hostel was a step down. There just aren't a lot of options.

The hostel was nice and clean with spacious sitting area to relax on the terraces on comfortable sofas. You did not feel like going out its so nice. The Hostel is convieniently close to the bus station and in a area of town next to the river. The houses are all little bungalows there on small streets. It has a lovely feel to the place and it reminds me of Mexico. The staff were great and the Lady in charge was really helpfull.

Place has gotten a little overused, but staff makes up for any defects

I didn't want to splurge on a more expensive option on a limited budget - bad decision. The staff was nice enough but the place was dingy. The mattresses & pillows had stains and when we arrived we were handed a pile of sheets to make the beds. None of the sheets fit and were thread bare as stated in other reviews. The door didn't close and the handle was broken. We couldn't shut the window and had to figure out a way to tie it shut with the curtains. My advice:Opt for the more expensive option.

Bedding and linen were dirty and hostel generally smelled. Unhelpful directions which state you should walk to the river and turn right whereas in reality you need to be one street from the river as it just looks like another run down shack on the other side. On the bright side it is very close to the station and cheap

Excellent place, perfect location, and extremely friendly staff . I would highly recommend it .

A bit of a mishap, the power was off, but the hostel had some back up. Good location near the river and 6/7 min walk to city center. Staff helpful and very friendly. Offered us free hot drinks and beer/snacks and use of PC. German guy stopping there was very friendly and a good laugh. Breakfast was ok. Thanks!!

I only spent one night in the hostel but the staff was very friendly and accommodating The hostel has alot of character and is a great value.
