Art Hostel Taurus Reviews

We think that the Art Hostel Taurus has great potential-it is light, clean and close to the old town. We originally booked for two nights, and received a refund for the second because there was no hot water during our stay due to upgrades of the city gas pipes in our street. While these things happen, we were disappointed staff did not tell us before we paid and checked in. We found out about it when we went to have a shower!

Very nice location between the castle and the old town. It was small and quiet, but cozy, comfortable and clean. My only real problem was that the directions to the hostel were not adequate. I luckily had the map to it on my e-reader and we found the place that way instead of the written directions.

Its a really nice hostel in the center of Bratislava, very quiet and very clean. The staff are so nice, they solved all my problem and helped me to find some places. I was just a night, but if I have to return to Bratislava, I will go there.

Very nice hostel a few minutes from the city center. Breakfast was good enough, also not wonderful. Staff very nice and available. Would go there again if I turn back to Bratislava.

This was more like a small hotel than a hostel. Everything is quite new so is very clean. The rooms and bathrooms were very nice. Even though there was a free breakfast, we weren't allowed access to the kitchen so you can't really prepare your own meals. I would still recommend the place because it's very comfortable and in a good location, even though it's a bit of a hike up the hill!

Loved this place..had what you want in a hostel: Free lockers (they supply locks), breakfast, towels, linen, computer use...great location too.

One of the worst breakfasts I have ever had in Hostels, rooms with a strange smell and without windows. In our case they had problems with the reservation and we had to pay extra money and the stuff was unfortunately not so friendly.

Offer very heathy breakfast, but a tthe same time can't cook in the kitchen, not even fetching water. The male staff was not very friendly while the other girl was quite nice. It's very close to the castel, but a bit distance from the old town and the train/bus stations. The toliet was a bit smelly, and also to many up and down steps in the room, a bit dangerous in the evening when you put off the lights in the room.

Nice hostel very close to the city centre of bratislava and 2 minutes walk from the castle...would recommend it..

This is a lovely hostel. The location is just minutes walking from the bus stop and the old town. Walking a little uphill with the quiet and peaceful surrounding.

enjoyed my stay at this small basic hostel, provided adequate base in good location to explore a lovely city, very good value for money, although my dorm was on lower level so a lack of windows.

A large hostel and a bit sterile. This may have been because we went in the low season though.

A very nice place and feels very much like a family home. It is almost as close to the castle as you can get and the breakfast is good,as well as the showers. OCD clean and excellently maintained. I had a really relaxing stay. Possibly not the place to stay if you are looking to party 24/7 but for a base to explore Bratislava it is pretty awesome :D Thanks!

A great place to stay in Bratislava - good location right beside the Castle and a short walk to the Old Town. Staff were helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend to others!

If location is what you are after, then this is the place for you. Positives are location, size of the rooms, security, nice modern design, fuse-ball table and its really clean. However the staff were not really that helpful as they really didn't provide much insight into the city. The breakfast was not great because everything was stale.

The crew need to be more proactive! We have got 3 attendants that didn't seem excited to help! We asked twice about information of the night life of city and the answer was: I don't like this kind of music so I can't give you further information! The carachter of the hostel is great and everything is new, that is good. Nevertheless, we missed an environment of fun!

We only stayed one night at a four persons dorm and the hostel seemed reasonable. Good sized rooms, clean bathrooms and decent breakfast. The staff were okay although their advice comes straight out of the Lonely Planet. It was quiet when I was there so not great for meeting other travelers. However it's in an excellent location.

Exactly what a hostel should be! staff is very kind! You can ask them anything and they will happily help you or explain anything to you. The rooms are very simple but clean and new, Breakfast is decent and the location allows you to get any touristic sites within 10 minutes. I would definitely stay there again
