Great hostel, very clean and modern design with good chill out spots and things to do. Spacious rooms with big lockers to lock up all your stuff and you cant get into the building unless you are a guest. Very good facilities and breakfast provided. If you are looking for a nice relaxed time where you can meet others this is perfect, if you are looking for a party hostel book elsewhere.
The location is more than excellent, it is fantastic: two minutes walk from the castle and five minutes from the old town. Modern design, super clean and very functional. Small kitchen and it is not equiped for cooking. Theremis a microwave and a kettle which can do the trick if you want to sabe some money on food. Rooms are confortable and the lockers have keys that comes with the one for the room door.
Very clean and comfortable hostel. But not good to meet people
I didn't like a few things about this hostel. I had a difficult time feeling welcomed by the woman who checked me in. She isn't friendly at all to her guests and I really didn't appreciate her snippy attitude. The other 2 younger employees were very helpful and kind though! They made up for the grumpy gal! Also, my room had no windows and it would have been nice to have some sunlight, or see the sky to know what the weather was like outside. Or just have a view of something. All else great!
We arrived at Taurus Hostel A 5.30Am in the morning after a hard overnight train experience. The 24h reception was great and we could have shower immediatly. The girl at the reception was helpful and nice also at this early time. Rooms are eqquiped with air conditionning and I don't remember sleeping so well at a hostel. Thank you Art Taurus!
Nice place in good location, very close to everything. Good atmosfhere and lot of things to do inside. On the other side, my room did not have window, that is all.
The location of the hostel is pretty nice, just 5 min away from the castle. The breakfast is free. The staff is friendly. We stayed in 5 bed dorm just for us, which us pretty nice. It has a supermarket just 1 min away. If we came back to Bratislava we'll definitely stay in Taurus hostel again :)
Good little hostel for location and value for money. Nothing special but it's ok for a short stay in Bratislava.
We got a taxi to the hostel but I think it would have been quite hard to find by foot as its not on a main road. The security is good as you need to be buzzed in to enter the hostel however the only fault is that the doors to the dorms don't lock automatically so people could have come in. The rooms were clean and attractive, breakfast was excellent and the staff were helpful as they showed us where the nearest restaurants were and also drew a map to show us how to get to the bus stop.
A good hostel, one thing to note about the kitchen, no oven or sink. just a microwave.
Great hostel, not much in the way of socialising only neg. Staff great
Hostel was good, clean, and friendly, just a bit of a walk from the city centre. I know it's only a 10 minute walk, but it is the only downside. Would definitely stay again!
Great little place simple free breakfast no bunks and a cool layout. Staff were nice and it is walking distance to everything
The location is great. I also love that the wifi and air conditioner worked very well. I wish the hostel used white sheets on the beds and also that the shower section had an innner door to give some privacy to bathers.
Lovely reception staff, very friendly, giving us directions across the bridge to the club. Extremely helpful
Great location right next to the castle and the old city. Very artistic design, definately a place you'd want to stay and relax. Very quite as well, not recomended for groups of people.
No hob or sink for cooking your own food, only a microwave and nowhere to fill up water. Also window blinds on "private rooms" are completely see through when the room is light and the corridor is dark.
Wonderfully clean, easy to walk to the old city centre, not all rooms have air conditioning but it was very welcome! Breakfast was ok, some staff very obliging whilst others not so much. Would definitely stay here again.
