When I arrived, both the door to the building and the hostel were wide open. And they remained so; nothing was locked. The administrator had been MIA for 4 days already. A long-term guest was in charge, who was nice but certainly no employee. While the facilities and location are great, I felt more than a little unsafe -- and no, not because I am "American and a woman", as I was told, but because I couldn't even lock the door to my room. Left money for one night on the unmanned desk and moved.
