This hostel is a lot of fun, and in the perfect location. Couldn't be better!

Amazing Hostel

I loved this hostel, the beds, rooms, showers, staff and security were the best I have seen in Europe. It is quite alternative but the people I met at the hostel were incredible. I particulary enjoyed the energy and friendly nature of all staff.

I've stayed at this hostel before and knew it would be great for New Years'!!! I love the atmosphere here, it feels really homely, warm and friendly and I love the decor inside. The staff are really friendly, always there for a chat when I got home at 7am :) Facilities are great, breakfast in the pub is good and they make well priced coffees I'll be back! Thanks for a great stay, Happy New Year

Awesome location. A localer told me this is the best hostel in Edinburgh and from what I saw I would agree. Highly reccommend!

Stayed here for 4 nights...had lockers to lock up my valuables. Staff was very nice and helpful, they were able to supply hairdryers. I was also able to do laundry on my last day. I stayed in the 16 room dorm but didn't have an issue sleeping. Location is EXCELLENT, only a 5 minute walk to the Royal Mile. I walked around at midnight (am a 24 year old female) by myself on several occasions and never felt unsafe. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.

My stay here was brief but def a great place. It has pretty much what you would expect from a hostel - good location, sound staff, artsy/kitsch/random decor but in a good way.. Will come back. No need to look for another hostel in Edi, every city has only a few or less places like this.

Daniel, one of the guys from the staff, is very gentle and sweet! He definitely made my stay there even more pleasurable!

We stayed here for one night after a Haggis tour. The hostel is in an excellent area, right at the Grass Markets great area to go out in. There are lockers in the rooms to lock up your valuables. And a room to hold your luggage after you check out. The rooms were a decent size, with a coffee table/couches in the middle to use. The only comment I would make is the toilet/shower had no hook on the walls - so you have to put your towel on the floor. Nice common room downstairs.

I loved this hostel. A little but grungy but very clean and spacious. The place is huge with a maze of corridors and stairs. The only downer was that the wifi was out for 3 days for my stay.

My friends and I stayed in a 18-bed mixed room, so when we arrived we expected a lot of noise and poor cleanliness. Fortunately, everything was clean and everyone was very kind with us, and we even had clean bed linen. I think it was the best youth hostel I've ever been to.

Friendly atmosphere

Great spot. I stayed with 3 buddies in a 4-bed dorm en-suite last weekend. Great value. Lovely staff and great cups of tea! Roch on!

I really enjoyed my stay. It was right in Grassmarket square, close to pubs and cafes and Edinburgh Castle. Very cool. Staff was GREAT, particularly Daniel and Jordan. I had a blast, Edinburgh was amazing in general.

The second-best hostel that I've been! really! Nice staff, great ubication and bathrooms are great, clean and new.The only bad thing are the bed bites I had 2 nights afterwards :/

the relaxed atmosphere and openness is what really makes this a great hostel! everyone was so friendly and helpful

Excellent location, staff very patient and friendly, nice room, really fully equipped kitchen!
