This is not a backpacker hostel, they don't even have maps of the city - Russian people live here. The toilet was absolutely disgusting, I gagged when trying to brush my teeth. The room was tiny and they overcharged us by trying to charge tax and the hostel fee deposit (again). We've left having to trust that the refund will appear in our bank account. Do yourself a favour and stay somewhere else.

the staff is super unfriendly. would never stay there again. location is also really hard to find.

This hostel is not a hostel. There are many "locals" living there. During our stay a violent incident between these people occurred. We spent the entire night locked in our room fearing for our safety. Nothing was done by the staff to help or reassure us. The violence and noise went on long into the night. This place is extremely unsafe and the staff untrustworthy. Would advise against all staying here. Good reviews due to the fact that underneath a facade the hostel seems ok though fairly dirty

Staffs were really friendly, and the bunk bed was really cozy. The shower room was small but clean, so it was fine. Nearest subway station and the Red Square is 10mins, 20mins walk respectively from the hostel so the location was fine.

wonderful hostel if you are looking for a perfect location (although difficult to find at first) with nice and friendly staff and a good environment.

The kitchen needs some additional utensils, washing dishes can be a unhygienic due to other guest's washing but otherwise excellellent value, so close to the major sights.

We don't mind the lackluster atmosphere since we didn't visit Moscow to hang out on the hostel anyway. The location was excellent with the Red Square within a 15-minutes walk. However, we (a couple), had booked a room together but were told upon our arrival that we would have to split up for the last two days of our five-day stay at the hostel. The service was as poor as can be. Unfortunately this is a general problem in Russia and is not necessarily characteristic for this particular hostel.
