Had an excellent stay at Arthy's. Very comfortable double room great value for money. Excellent sitting area with computers, TV, and great little store they have so you can buy the essentials without going out.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Staff were really helpful, and booked some tours for us and our bus out of La Paz. The rooms were great, clean and warm. The only slight down side was the showers were not super hot and to make them hotter you had to turn down the pressure, but not really a huge problem but thought it was worth mentioning.

Very nice staff, very helpful. Will recommend for people like me who want to rest and no party most of all after 20 hours flight.

Extremely friendly staff. Really good location, Clean, have warm showers and a hairdryer to borrow. The atmosphere is very trusting and relaxed which makes it homey. You can meet people if you want and if you don't you don't have to be bothered by a party. They have a really nice sunroof which heats up during the day and is nice to stay in, because as you'll soon learn in La Paz no one really uses heating.

Ideal if you are looking to avoid loud party hostels. Big common area & loads of DVDs. Staff speak English & are nice people. Showers are good & there's plenty of them. Internet (which they charge for) & wifi (free) were awful. We had major problems with our 2 tours. For the 1st the hostel told us we could pay them later, only to then be threatened with being kicked off the bus because we didn't have the cash on us. Also sold us City Tour that wasn't running that week which wasted half a day!

An excellent hostel centrally located but still close enough to walk to the bus station. Really friendly staff and plenty of common areas to meet fellow travellers. Great ambience and a good nights sleep. Highly recommend.

Arthy's was the absolute best experience we have ever had in a hostel or a hotel. It's very clean, well kept, and comfortable. The kitchen is excellent, as well! It's so nice being able to cook while travelling. The atmosphere is very friendly and familiar. The staff are AMAZING! They will do whatever they can to help and they are always very friendly. Wewanted stay longer and on our next trip to La Paz, we will only stay at Arthy's. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Great place, like a b&b, lovely twin room with plenty of space. Good toilet and shower rooms so never had to wait. They sell a few items on site that didn't even have a huge mark up on store prices, we managed to make ourselves the standard backpacker dinner of noodles without leaving the building! Location great as halfway between bus station and the tourist sites.

Great place to stay - as good as all the reviews say. Excellent location, lovely people who run the guesthouse, very safe and a lovely quiet haven from the bustle of La Paz. Highly recommend.

Just excellent. At first I didnt see why the good reviews, but I was quickly converted into a big fan of this place. The staff here just go out of their way to be helpful. You can ask them anything. They will book trips, hostals, sort buses and advise on anything. Its a great posistion, quiet, with the usual internet options etc. Not a party hostal however if thats what you are after.

Lovely hostel with a relaxed atmosphere. We were disappointed to learn of the midnight curfew which restricted our evenings with friends. All facilties was good aside from the luke-warm and low pressure showers. Great location.

Great spot to chill out and get used to the altitude or get some r n' r. Good spacious common areas for chatting to other people and the staff are very helpful. Handy for the bus station too.

It is a quiet hostel (definitely not a party hostel) with lovely and very helpful staff, great location and nice rooms. The location is perfect (just a couple of minutes from the bus station and a 10minute walk to tourist attractions). It would be great, though, if the breakfast was included in the price (right now you can purchase breakfast for 10BOB extra). However, I would definitely stay here again!

We booked 2 days but we stayed 8 days in Arty's guesthouse! If you are looking for a peaceful atmosphere, clean bathrooms, kitchen and very helpfull staff, Arty's guesthouse is the best place in La Paz! Staff is really nice and helpful. Kitchen is full equiped and very clean. There is small market for urgent needs like cornflakes, pasta, beer, tothpaste! The rooms in upstairstairs are nicer and more fresh. Thanks!

Very nice guesthouse. If you have enoughf of partyhoostels this is the right place for you. Fells like a home away from home. Only the showers could be better.

The showers have not much pressure but were hot. All rooms have shared bathroom. Quiet and relaxing atmosphere. Clean kitchen. Toilets and showers are directly next to the dining area. The trash bin in our double was not emptied within 3 days.

Great place to stay in La Paz and I have already decided to stay there again. The staff was extremely helpful, and the location is perfect. The only improvement I can imagine would be better availability of hot water in the showers.
