Located very central at the main street only a few blocks from the action. I had a one bed room, that was weird because there are no big dorms, thus the hostel lacks atmoshpere. Breakfast is not included. Otherwise pretty good for a stay in La Paz, I wasn't spending much time in the room.

The staff were incredibly helpful from the time that we booked in until the time that we left and all spoke excellent English. We really enjoyed our stay there and would recommend Arthys.

The staff at this hostel are fantastic! Very quiet and excellent security. Only problem was the showers... Not very hot. But that is outweighed by how good everything is. Super super clean facilities.

This place doesn't have a big social vibe but is clean and comfortable and they have a huge selection of DVDs if you fancy a quiet night in. Very close to the bus terminal and central area of La Paz.

Staff is extremely friendly - allowed us to check-in at 6AM after we arrived by night bus, and were extremely friendly and helpful throughout. Rooms are spacious, WiFi of decent quality, and the kitchen is nice to have. The hostel sells small items (like beer, pasta etc.), very useful if you forgot to buy something. Overall - highly recommended, especially given that the price is very fair.

Nice house, good location. Not a party one. If you love to enjoy quiet comfy environment, this is the one.

Great place with great price Even though you have to pay extra for your breakfast!

Close to bus station and quiet. Highly recommended

Clean, well staffed and warm hostel. Good rooms and the rooftop is useful for short afternoon naps in the sun. Mauricio was extremely helpful. Showers could use a little more pressure though :) Recommended.

loved this place, the staff were very accommodating and friendly. the room was clean, the facilities were wonderful, the water is hot but you need to keep the shower flow low so the heater has a chance to warm it up. it was a relaxing oasis in La Paz. room tip if you're not a smoker the room beside the upstairs lounge doesn't allow you to open your window. all the smoke goes into your room.

English speaking and friendly staff, very responsible. Room is ok,walking on the floor is a bit noisy at night. Only shared bathroom on the first floor, but I stayed on the second floor so that you have to walk up and down the stairs every time if you wanna use the bathroom. Nice common room but not many people chill out there. No breakfast. Both 10 to 15 mins walk to bus Terminal and San Francisco Church.

Friendly, English speaking and very friendly stuff, quiet rooms, clean facilities and a well equipped kitchen.

Standard hostel, not a great atmosphere. Showers weren't very powerful. Good thick bed sheets.

Nice hostel located very close to bus terminal. Very clean inside. I believe all rooms are twin with shared bathrooms but these are large facilities and more than adequate for the size of the hostel. Staff were very friendly and spoke English which was a big help for us as my Spanish is still very weak. Nice common areas with large DVD selection if you feel like staying in.

Great little haven in La Paz - quiet, clean and safe. Not a party hostel. Twin room was comfy, although beds were small. Many showers, hot water, slightly trickly, but did the job. Large communal spaces, but a tiny kitchen with only one person able to cook at once. 5 minutes walk from the bus station and about the same to the Cathedral. Poor internet, but seemed to be standard in Bolivia.

A really great hostel on all fronts, except it is shown incorrectly on all maps we looked at - Google, Lonely Planet etc. Make a note of the address and number and don't look at the map because you will walk straight past it. Once inside though, it is really nice.

Arthy's is located between the bus terminal and historical centre, and is walking distance to both. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and very clean. A bit plus is the fantastic smoking terrace with a view of the street up to the hills. If you're not put off by the midnight curfew and unisex showers I would highly recommend staying here. One of the best places I've stayed in South America so far.

Thank you for your review and we appreciate you reminding any future guests that we do have a Midnight Curfew which is very strict. If any traveler is seeking to go out late or to party (birthdays included), La Paz has several good alternative lodging options.

Pros: hot showers, ok beds, good location. Cons: atmosphere, midnight curfew, staff where a bit absent Summary: pretty average I would stay in line with most places in La Paz, we ended up moving to a much nicer place paying a bit more.

Nice place in good location. Lots of traffic just outside, but very quiet inside. Showers had hot water, not a lot of pressure but enough to wash long hair. Small kitchen with fridge. Wifi ok most of the times, but sometimes wouldn´t work (connect) with our phones (just laptop). Room basic but ok, and had some hooks on wall (which most hostels seem to lack!). Toilet upstairs often ran out of toilet paper (ended up buying our own). Nice atmosphere, would stay here again. Staff Ruben=excellent!
