The staff was amazing and we had a great time staying here! It would be perfect if it had a double bad. A part of that, totally recommended!
This is a pretty standard, not-too-fancy hostel, but it was perfect for what we needed. They offer free luggage storage even if you check out early, and have a variety of foods and drinks available for purchase if you don't want to troop out to find a local cafe/grocery store. It was a little chilly in our room, but besides that, we really appreciated the friendly service and available kitchen!
As ever it is the staff who make our break a hostel and the guys at Arthy's were amazing. In a mental City like La Paz it was very nice knowing you could shut the orange door after a day out and relax. Thoroughly recommended.
The best bit of this hostel is Arthy :) All the staff are very helpful but Arturo, the owner, is really friendly and informative. The hostel is located a stone's throw away from Plaza Murillo and Iglesia San Francisco. It is very clean, safe and quiet. Perfect for a good rest on your way to and from Uyuni and other wonderful places. I definitely recommend it!
Great central location and easy to get to all the main attractions! Internet is really quick, staff are extremely helpful in every way including getting up at 4am to wait for our taxi! Not much atmosphere but if you are after a couple of quiet nights with a warm bed then this is perfect.
Arthy's was a great quiet hostel to stay at. It's not the cheapest, but it is well organized and clean. The best part of Arthy's was definitely the staff. I have not met a more friendly, helpful staff. They are amazing. Overall, not a party hostel as it is quiet, but a wonderful place to stay to get a good nights rest if you have an early tour the next day.
Good place. Not a party hostel (Doors close at 12). There is a lounge but it is more a laid back place so if you are need of rest or space this would be the place for you. Location is good as you can walk to most everything. 5-10 mins. Staff is helpful and friendly with info and tours. (They speak both Spanish or English). Good place to stay if you are not into the party scene and need a safe place for your things.
Nice place, the staff speak great english and the location is perfect :)
Very nice place, definitely a guesthouse and not a hostel. Maybe a little bit pricey for rooms that have shared bathrooms but everything is very well kept and the lounge is like a hotel business lounge. Very good English with the owner.
Had a nice stay. Staff spoke fluent English
Perfect! Only negative point: showers dont have enough water. Rest really good
Would definetly recommend it. Close to the main attractions, very clean and nice rooms. But it's loud, because located at the main street. Good service, no breakfast included.
When you go to La Paz stay here! Clean and calm Rooms, clean Bathrooms, good Atmossphere AND very very helpfull Owner and Employers.
It is a nice hostel near the center of la paz (5-10 min walk) They have a kitchen, though not very large nor a lot of pans (but kitchens are rare in la paz!). The showers are electrical, this means, a little bit hot water or a normal amount of luke warm wather, this could definitely be inproved. Wifi is free but unfortunately you have to pay for the computer (not much, but i think this is something you can include in the price of the room)

This is not a bad place to stay. :) I thought particularly the staff was very nice and the location is good. However as a solo traveler, it's fairly easy to find something with your own bathroom for the same price in La Paz, and I did find that the single room lacked in charme a bit (no window, quite dim). On the other hand if you're in it for the communal feel, a hostel would probably be better than a guesthouse.

The staff was so nice and was very helpful. It was very safe and clean. No free breakfast and the showers were not warm. It was also semi hard to meet people cause not many ppl stay there
Good location close to the bus terminal. Clean and efficient, helpful staff
Great location. Fantastic security. Staff friendly, helpful & able to speak some English (better than my Spanish). Of the staff also got up to let me out for my airport taxi at 2.30am and they were STILL friendly & smiling. Room clean, bed ok / average, showers were warm if you keep the pressure low, great little kitchen, bathrooms clean. Lounge room for reading, watching the traffic or using hostel PC's. Would stay here again and have recommended to others already. Great for a solo traveler.
The people at the front desk were wonderfully friendly, incredibly helpful, and genuinely committed to us having a good stay not only in the hostel, but also in La Paz in general. They gave us advice on how to get to and from locations, where we could wash our laundry, which types of taxis are safest, everything. The hostel is quiet and clean. A great place to stay for a few days (or a couple of weeks while looking for an apartments, as was our situation) and rest.

Positive - All the building in very clean - Location is central - Staff is very nice, smily and helpful - Double room is simple but confortable and quiet Negative - All the building is quite cold as there is no heating. They are providing free hot water bottles and hair dryer, which is great, but I was still freezing all the time -Hot water is coming down the shower with way to low pressure. So you freeze under the shower - Wifi is way too slow
