Very noisy at night. Great deal ($5 a night for dorms and breakfast). However, they rarely check HostelWorld so don't bother booking through the site! Just call them directly or show up. I lost my money (granted not a lot of it) booking through here.

Good Hostel with a very nice rooftop Bar and decent Wifi. Bring US$ with you to pay your bill as their exchange rate to Shillings is a joke...incredibly inflated!! Perfectly located to see all Arusha and close to 'Muzungo Square' if you need a few Western comforts.

I stayed at the backpackers for 4 nights and had a great time! Despite the street noise and ongoing power dips (which are to be expected when traveling africa and really not that big of a deal), it was a great place to stay, especially with the central location. The rooftop bar/restaurant is a great place to meet other travelerds, and being on my own I found that a highlight. Free wifi and internet was wonderful too when it worked!

Excellent staff. We got support and advice for every issue we raised. The terrace is excellent for chilling down. Water was a problem at some point, due to the municipal system collapsing.

+ Nice rooftop bar - Staff really unfriendly, never smiling and service is really slow. Also, take note!: One Masai (from the staff?) was in luggage room standing in front of our backpack when we came in. He left the room quickly. We checked the backpack and found out that 100 USD was missing. We spoke to the receptionist about it, but she didn't believe us. Lesson learned: Never leave any money anywhere, where other people can access it. Luggage room is also used as somekind of storage room!
