Only stayed briefly, for one night, but would definitely stay again if returning to Dublin.

Ashfield House is a great hostel. The staff are extremely helpful and kind. The rooms were clean and had character. The only problem I encountered during my stay was the downstairs common toilettes needed toilette paper and a good cleaning.

The staff was absolutely outstanding. They went above and beyond the call of duty when my friend lost her passport and wallet. They were extremely helpful and accommodating.

pretty small room, having the window out to the street appeared to get very very noisy by night. lovely staff though, good breakfast and free tee and coffee!

Definitely a great pick-right in the middle of everything, tons of pubs close by...basically everything you need is in walking distance. The room was really nice-we had our own bathroom to share between 6, and there was only one time we didn't have hot water. The wifi was good, but don't even try to use the computers in the lounge-that internet is so slow and ends up stealing all your money before you have even loaded anything. The staff are very helpful and nice. Definitely recommend.

I really enjoyed my time at Ashfield House. It was my first hostel, and I'm so glad I chose it. Keep it up!

If this was the worst hostel on earth, I'd still stay there. I loved it. Cheap, clean, tons of people, and no problems with room mates (and I was in the 18-bed mixed dorm). The Temple Bar district is a two minute walk away, Trinity is even closer, there are pubs aplenty nearby.... What more do you want?

We flew into Dublin T1 and took the bus to the hostel, dropped you RIGHT outsides, the location of this place is great. When we took the bus to Galway and back (HIGHLY recommend visiting) we stayed again at Ashfield afterwards, once again the bus to and from dropped us off right down the street. The breakfast was good, price was great, wifi was having issues the second time but I think they got it fixed. Definitely recommend!

Like previous reviews have said--room was cold and no way to heat it ourselves. Dublin is not very warm in the spring. Can't you leave the heat on a little? Didn't realize O'Connor St splits and becomes D'Olier. Our room faced the street so it was rather noisy all night. However, we wanted to be in a central location to get to all the action, and Ashfield house was an easy walk to almost everything. Great breakfast, room was clean (4 bunk), Wifi worked in the main area but not in room.

Our room had thin windows right on a busy street so it was very loud. The staff said the heater was on a timer - we stayed for 3 days and it came on exactly once - it was freezing in the room the whole time. The bathroom was covered in black mold. Literally. The shower head was broken, adding to the mold problem. The staff was on duty 24 hours and allowed really loud techno music to play until 3 or 4 am even though they say quiet time is after 11 and the beds are very uncomfortable.

I had a great stay at Ashfield House! The staff was entertaining and helpful, the facilities were clean and fresh, great offered breakfast, and are absoluetly in the perfect location. In addition, the cost was exceptionally reasonable. I'd stay there again because I got quite a bit for the very low amount of money I spent to do so.

We had a twin-room with ensuite and everything was great. Location is great - right in the middle. We knew that Temple Bar was just around the corner and therefore knew that it could get noisy at the weekend. It is great to get a basic breakfast. I liked the fact that there is a supermarket next door for "special wishes". Staff was very friendly and helpful and I had a great stay there. I would definitely recommend Ashfield House.
