we were in the Hostel for two nights. We could sleep perfectly and it was all clean. The building is old but it is okay to sleep and primary facilities.

Worst hostel ever ! 1. The fire alarm rang every 5min from 6.30 to 7.20am, though it's not the staff's fault there were unable top stop it. 2. We had a card to open our dorm door but the handle was broken so everybody could enter. 3. The showers... well let's just say that there are 2 or 4 showers per bathroom, that these showers are shower cubicles through which you can see or be seen and that the bathroom door can't be locked. -> perfect place for exhibitionists or perverts !!!

Quite a strange place at first look, but ok for the overnight sleep. Located near the Victoria Station (train) and not far from the big shopping center Arndale. Costly internet 15mins/1pound.

It was a nice stay, although we did wake up at 4 am to a man screaming and pounding on the door. He did not get in, thankfully. Not really the hostel's fault I guess, but annoying anyway. It is probably something you can expect when staying in a room wit 28 people. The beds are very nice, soft and clean, there is a vending machine with food, which I did not need, but appreciated, and the staff was very nice and helpful. There was a sandwich on the floor in the hall, though.

Quite a soulless place, no toilet paper to be found anywhere in the morning. Almost all toilets in a dire state on Sunday morning. Positives - friendly receptionist, wasn't presented with a huge list of rules, good bedding

Good points about the hostel: Good central location, just 2 min walk from Manchester Victoria station. Nice old Victorian building. Good value for money. The rooms are basic but they have comfortable soft bed sheets . Bad points: The biggest issue is the paper thin walls between rooms. We could literally hear word from word conversation next door and got woken up at early hours. The hostel really needs to invest in better walls. All in all I would recommend for a short stay but bring ear plugs!
