The hostel is nice, clean and comfortable. Great, facilities for cooking, showers, lockers and bikes for use. I did however feel very unwelcome here. I arrived at 11, walked 20mins to the hostel, then the man I met wasn't friendly or welcoming. He just said check in after 3. The following morning I was asked twice about being dropped to the station before 10. I said I would be ready at 10, he wasn't very happy about this. It's fine if you arrive in the evening and leave before 10 am.

Slightly away from the station (a fair 20min walk) but with plenty of local character and very clean. Being in a traditional house, it's obviously a sleep in futons (but hey, this is Japan). The staff is friendly and helpful with directions and travel advice (maybe slightly overzealous in ensuring things run smooth and clean, but overall very positive). Recommended

The hostel itself is beautiful and has a lot of character... One can definitely feel the hard work involved in creating this hostel. We had one complaint however- at check out time the owner grew increasingly agitated and nervy. He kept reminding us of the time. We both assured him that we would be leaving soon. At 1010, he told us he would drop us to the station. Yet, my friends laundry was not finished drying. We then told him we would walk to the station but instead he basically kicked us out

Very nice place. Very friendly stuff. Great atmosphere. Very Japanese. There is a great and cheap Onsen nearby. The hostel is in walking distance from the station. Cheap and good places to eat near the hostel. I would recommend this hostel to everybody!!!
