Everything was perfect. Two minor things were: - there was no window in the room; not clear how to open the door to the back yard (there was a key, but it did not work) - ventilation in the toilet, it was not clear whether it is turned or not

The staff was very helpful to us especially in getting us to and from Stansted Airport. Breakfast was self-serve which was really helpful to us since we had to leave for the airport at about 4 am. The room was pretty nice, it had a TV in it and our bathroom had a shower/tub that was pretty good.

We received a family room instead of a double room which was quite a pleasant surprise. I found the hostel homely and clean and particularly liked the kitchen and the breakfast. The only thing that left a bitter aftertaste was the price of the airport transfer that was not "£3.50 per room per trip" as advertised: altogether we paid £14. Would go back again.

It was a decent place to spend a night but was a little pricier than expected after the conversions. Also don't let them fool you about the "free drink" at the local pub, its an agreement that is years out of date and no longer applies.

its a nice place to stay apart from the fact that you are squished into a tiny box room. i was in a room(im a girl) with 5 guys, 2 sets of bunks 3 high. i couldnt even sit up on my bed i had to slide into it, and the people live there full time so there smelly clothes and shoes where scattered everywhere, its alright stay if u only want to stay for a few nights.
