Really great hostel a short walk from Vagator beach. Met some amazing people here and ended up changing my travel plans. Probably more atmospheric during the season, but if you want a super chilled time, asterix is the place to be.

Was the only 'typical' hostel experience i found in India and it was brilliant. I would rate it up there with the best hostels ive ever stayed in, the vibe is that good. The only bad point is that the power and wifi can cut out at times but its was always quickly resolved and its to be expected in India. Highly recommended.

The staff were very accommodating. I had to leave early due to illness and they were very kind and helpful in making arrangements for me. Although the hostel itself is far from the city, it is really nice. It is environmentally friendly, which is the best part.

Amazing place to stay, loved my time here, even though it was short. One of the few great places I stayed in India and the staff were great. Toilets in the dorm could have been a bit cleaner though.

Great staff, great facilities, great people staying in the hostel. Everything you want from a modern day backpacking hostel. Real chilled out family vibe while I was there, everyone went beach, ate dinner and partied together! A1 hostel would definitely stay there again!

Great hostel with a great vibe. The staff is super helpful and there's a really good social vibe. Breakfast is included, but there are also a number of good restaurants in the area and in walkable distance of a trance club.

It's not too often you find a hostel in india so was really surprised to find a hostel as good as this! Just a short walk from the beach and with everything you need nearby it's an awesome place to stay. It's a really social hostel and pretty much every night we were there everyone in the hostel organised something to do together. The staff are really friendly and will do anything to help you out. I would recommend this hostel as the only place to stay when going to Goa!

Asterix was a pretty wholesome hostel experience. The facilities, cleanliness and atmosphere was fantastic. The host was very helpful and friendly. I experienced a good mix of people from all around and achieving a setup like Asterix hostel in a years time is absolutely impressive!

1. The bunk bed were creaky, and every time the other person moved or shuffled around, the whole bed wobbled disturbing the sleep. 2. The price for a non-AC dorm was a wee bit high for the off-season time I think. But then again, it might just be the Indian in me coming out. :) Apart from these two concerns, I totally loved the stay. Loved my seat on the bean bag in the balcony. Loved how I could return the lock after use. Loved making my own coffee every morning.

Cool hostel in a great place. It seems like it's the only 'true' hostel in India in terms of getting what you're accustomed to. Nice staff and a friendly vibe. Met some really cool people there who were up for some good times. Definitely recommended if you're in Goa.

Asterix was a wonderful base of operations to travel around north Goa =) the staff was lovely and Jason made us feel like we were with friends. The entire place gives off a very welcoming, fun vibe; the words from everyone who's ever been there scrawled all over the kitchen will assure you that you're going to have as great a time there as they did. The hostel is run with a very responsible, simple and yet progressive ethos.
