It is a nice and cosy hostel. The downside is that there is no breakfast provided and it is far from city centre.

A delightful room to look at. The ensuite was tiny, so tiny you couldn't turn around. The shower had the functions of hot and hotter. No cold water in the shower at all. The lady in charge of the house was really nice however had no knowledge of the area what so ever and no idea of distances when driving to surrounding towns. And the one thing I couldn't understand was a bed and breakfast not offering an included breakfast, you had to pay extra so we decided to dine else where in the mornings.

Not the worst hostel I've stayed in but not the best. Room and bathroom were nice, staff were helpful but rarely around. With no breakfast or luggage storage and quite far out it certainly wasnt worth the price.

The room and bathroom were very small and tiny. Considering the fact that there is no breakfast included and it is not reallz close to the centre the prize of £25 per person is rather overprized!

Nice quiet guest house far enough out of town to be able to park a car but close enough to walk to Yorkminster in 10-15minutes. Great rates for private rooms.

We got a great deal on this room through hostel world. We wanted a quiet private room for two with an ensuite so we could chill out and have some time away from staying in backpackers. Astley house was just that. Our room was very sweet. The double bed was a four poster and there was a little table and comfy chairs by the window for us to enjoy the tea and coffee making facility. Ensuite was built in to the room and there was a fold down single bed so space was limited but adequate. Clean also.
