Was travelling alone. Having a dedicated bathroom totally helps. Clean linens, comfy duvet, spacious room. Easy 15-25 min walk to S. Kensington Station, Knightsbridge area, and Portobello Market. Bicycles available for hire right by their doorstep.

the newest of Astor Museum hostels is great - it's a pity that they accept people only as old as 35 - if you have not reached the age limit, this hostel is a must-stay in London!

Nice hostel located near Hyde Park. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Hostel was clean and breakfast is included. Nice place to stay for a night or two...only down falls was no elevator (pretty tiring to walk to the top floors with heavy bags) and had to pay to use the computers. Cool place to stay though!

Clean hostel, but noisy. And the breakfast is definitely too light (no fruit juice, only bread and cereals).

I stayed there for 3 nights and highly recommend this hostel. Everything was just great. It was super clean, staff was really helpful, location is good. Wifi in the rooms, locker under the bed, u can BORROW a locker. Shower in the room 1 on the floor if occupied or late and dont want to wake up roomates. Seriously worth the money! But like everyone says, get ready for the stairs!

Location is good and the building of hostel is nice. But, it was quite tough to hike to the 5th floor every time. Just normal hostel, nothing more than that.

A decent hostel. Alhough I read a few reviews that billed this is a 'party hostel' I didn't see any evidence of this. It was pretty quiet, in fact being near a few museums there seemed to be a lot of swotty geeky girls staying in the hostel. Was a downer and was the only thing that put me off the place, along with trek from nearest tube stop. Aussie bloke and the girl in reception were super awesome and friendly.

The wifi is patchy. If you stay on the 4th or 5th floor you won't get any water in the showers at peak times which sucks. No lift and very squishy, windy stairs, a warning. Kitchen tables were always sticky.

Great place, located 10-15 mins away from the tube. Excellent staff-they were always upbeat and positive and they were all extremely helpful with answering everything! The included continental breakfast was a bonus! The only issue were the stairs-especially for me because I was located on the 5th floor but the staff were able to help me bring my luggage down to the basement so it wasn't too bad.

Really great hostel. Staff were amazing; friendly and always happy to help. Location is close to the city and the parks, and short walk to the tube/bus. Facilities were good, with lockable storage under the bed and optional lockers outside reception and of course a decent free breakfast to start the day. Only downside was that the internet wasn't able to sustain a Skype connection. Really enjoyed my time there.

Very pleasant stay, the staff helps you with everything and even though the location is Kensington, not Londens city centre, you're in the centre in minutes with busses or the subway.

Had a fantastic stay while there with some friend, only issue had was with arrangement of room but was not down to the staff and they were very pleasant and helpful in trying to accommodate our group of people, Definitely a place I will stay again upon any returns to London. excellent location near tubes/busses and park areas, nice area and quiet and safe. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

Overall it was a great hostel, accept one thing, we had a room for four persons, but our bathroom was outside the room which led to others using OUR bathroom. Make a special key or something is my advice. Breakfast was ok, nothing more nothing less. Would recommend this hostel!

I really love this hostel. Free wifi, breakfast. Staffs are helpful and nice. Got help for my luggage after check-in and check-out, moving it from 4/F or storage room. The location is not hard to find but it could be quite stressful to go to if you have a heavy luggage, or have to change from Paddington. However, the Natural History and Science museum, along the Kensington Garden are just nearby, which are great places for your last day visit if you have no idea where to go.

The best security feature here is the 120 stairs to the 4th floor! As rough as they are they got us into good shape and kept all the plundering and pillaging out! Other than that, this place is quite nice and in a pretty good location. You definitely need to use local transport unless you plan on walking 30-45 minutes between each sight. One last thing, very close to some major museums and most museums in London are free, so check them out!

It's a big Hostel in a decent location for a good price. My only complaint is that the WIFi only worked in the common room and even then it was very weak.
