We had a problem to find the place, apparently there is another Astor Hostel in the other side of the Hyde Park... The Place is nice, really old building... nice staff and good facilities... Would be nice to have a bar inside the Hostel

The staff is great, so friendly! The rooms are big, beds comfortable. There are big lockers beneath the beds and small ones in the reception, what I consider essential. The breakfast could be better, but is sufficient, with three types of bread available. However, at the day of my check-out, I went to the kitchen at 10:25 am to have my breakfast (it ends 10:30AM), and they had already closed the kitchen for the breakfast. It was not fair, since I was on time.

Had stayed here before, happy to say that not much had changed in the few yrs - free brekkie, comfy beds, hot showers and handy location for the tube. Staff were friendly and helpful. One little thing, a bit of oil wouldn't go astray on the wheels of the bag cages under the bunks!!! (Room 23 especially!)

The shower was quite clean and nice, and the sheets were also quite clean. Free breakfast was pretty good, all the bread and cereal you can eat. Everything was quite satisfactory, and the price was pretty good compared to all the other hostels in London. My only qualm is that it is a 10-20 minute walk from any Underground station. Otherwise, it is next to Hyde Park which is beautiful and near the palace.

Expected the hostel only to sleep and therefore it was excellent! The only point to "criticize" is the distance to the sub. It´s about 10 minutes or 11 pounds for cab.

Good hostel overall. Good people staying there, place was clean and well located. Only complaint is.the staff seemed to have their own clique set up, and while they were helpful, they just came off as very boring.

Best hostel in London. Fantastic location. Fantastic staff. Wifi speed gets very slow at certain times of the day due to number of people using it, to the point where it can become unusable.

I can not speak highly enough for this hostel! The location was not only safe and secure it was also the perfect base to explore the city of London. Also if I ever had a question if was to do with transport to the airport or a place to go out the lovely staff at reception were more than happy to help! I have stayed here twice now and would stay again I have met many friends here! Thank you Astor Hyde Park, I hope to see you soon!

I thoroughly enjoyed staying at Astor Hyde. Free breakfast of toast w/ pb or jam, free wifi, plenty of hangout space, and I love the common room where movies/shows are always playing. Staff was always really nice and helpful, only slightly negative comment would be that they seemed to take up most of the kitchen space and common areas leaving less room for actual guests to be able to cook and/or comfortably hangout.

Great hostel, would recommend for sure. The staff were really friendly and always willing to provide help. Cleanliness is a big thing for me and this hostel was pretty much spotless. The facilities were brilliant too; a secure room for luggage, a clean and spacious shower in the room, free wi-fi, a 'common room' type thing and helpful travel guides and the like on the walls of the entrance hall.

Hostel is situated in south kensington(still in centre of london), really close to the subway and 2 bus lines. The personnel at reception is always kind and willing to help, the reception is open 24/7. The hostel features lockers in room and safe-deposits at the reception. I've met some really interesting people during my stay.

Basicly, perfect location, close to two metro sations, to the Hyde Park and with many options of markets and restaurants around. The breakfast is also great, and the staff friendly. A negative point goes to the structure: my dorm was in the 5º floor and there is no elevator! And there were only 2 jacks for 8 persons in the dorm.

First off, great location. Not in a super busy area, but very nearby museums, beautiful parks (great for jogging), strolling to buckingham palace, and the tube line. Staff was friendly, helpful, and always available. Didn't have any issues with the facilities; seemed to be maintained well. A charming building on a safe and clean street.

All round the hostel was very good. Beds could have been a bit better as I did not have a ladder to the top bunk, and fitness preparation is needed for the five floors of steps to climb but Very clean and great facilities. Breakfast was simple but good.
