No elevator and there are 5 floors of rooms, could be a real pain if you have heavy stuff. Bathrooms were tiny and akward.

Great hostel! The staff were very helpful and always in good mood. Very good atmosphere and interesting people, from all over the world. Plus, the shower was great! haha It wasn't sooo close to the underground, but it was not far. Just a 10 minutes walk. It was very near to the Hyde Park, though.

great location, only 5 mins walk to hyde park and 10 mins walk to kensington high street. my room was very clean, the bed was nice and comfy and the ensuite bathroom was nice too. I also liked the free breakfast and fwifi. they have kitchen and laundry facilities. very nice hostel, not too quiet but not too much of a party hostel either. I'd definitely recommend this hostel!

I was staying during 6 days and I can´t use the hair dryer, I suggest having one period to use, and then having to return, because others people could not use.

great experience! the staffers were super helpful, friendly and enjoyed adult beverages with us till the wee hours of the morning. the rooms were basic, but what more do you need? hopefully you'll be spending most your time exploring London, rather than what's underneath your bed. about a 15 min walk north from Gloucester Road off the Underground. Overall a fantastic stay in a safe, upscale neighborhood with plenty of bars within walking distance...excuse me pubs.

Astor Hyde Park Hostel was actually a great place to stay. It is so close to Kensington Gardens (at the top of the street, not 1/4 mile from the hostel) and Hyde Park as well as the closeness to the nearest Glouster Road Tube station. The hostel itself was very clean. They have locks, hair dryers, etc. to rent (you'll get money back at the end), but the space for your luggage is small, so be sure to only bring a medium or small suitcase! Friendly staff and are always very helpful!

Had a great stay! The room was nice, though the beds are old and the pillows too thin. 1 bathroom for the whole room, but there's extra toilets in the hallway. Free breakfast and nice kitchen where you can cook yourself. They have computers where you can throw money in and have internet. It was pretty clean, though the bathroom was dirty as to be expected when 20 people use it. Only real downside: 15 min walk to the tube... not their fault though. Also no shops nearby! But next to Hyde Park!

Fantastic location! Right next to Hyde Park and in the very nice, safe, upper class suburb of Kensington. The staff were helpful and friendly and the hostel was generally clean and had a nice feel. The free breakfast in the morning was great too. The only downsides were the bathrooms. They were always taken and the ensuite attached to our 12 bed shared room smelt horrible. We had a few rude people staying in our room and they were drunk, noisy, rude and really inconsiderate.overall a good hostel

Really great hostel! Staff is very friendly and helpful, the place is clean, beds are comfortable. Almost a perfect place, the only downside is that it is a little bit far from the main touristic points, like Tower Bridge and the Big Ben. But I would definitely stay there again, though.

I was pleasantly surprised by experience at this hostel. Everyone was extremely friendly. I felt my belongings were secure. There was bathroom in large dorm share. The location is great as well. I recommend this hostel to any of my friends planning a trip to London.

Overall the hostels is good, with about 15 minutes walk from underground which is ok for me. I lived in 12-bed room, our beds are a bit strange , in the middle of the room...can't understand why the heater doesn't work even it isturned on every night (central heater?) ...and the last night was crazy the staff and people are having party that the crazy noise and music bass made everyone can't sleep until 3am.

The security didn't work too well since our cleaner left the door of our room open twice after cleaning. Few members of the staff were really nice but few of them weren't welcoming at all especially at breakfast time. We felt it was sort of unfair that the staff had their private party in one of the common rooms which was the only place that had computers in it. They also made noise in early hours and even though it was a once in a year thing they should have informed us beforehand.

There was always a t.v. on in the lounge area and music blasting in the kitchen area until the early morning, so not a place to go if you want somewhere where you can sit and read a book. The staff was super helpful when it came to any questions about the city, but I found it more difficult than expected to meet people at this hostel. Sort of clique-ish because there's a huge group of friends who spend every night there, have known each other for months, and are not super inclusive.
