12th floor room very hot, don't have enough electrical outlet per room. Great breakfast, comfy and clean sheets and bed

The rooms were quite spacious and clean. I appreciated the 24 hour reception and getting money back for renting towels. However, I think it would be better to provide padlocks that people can use. The breakfast was pretty basic and small, but it is nice to be provided. More outlets would also be beneficial in rooms of 6.

It's a pity they don't have 1 more shower per Etage. Also, it's a pity they don't have single power outlets for every bed; it feels weird to let all your really expensive eletronic stuff lay out in the room without security.

The location

Stayed here just for the night as I had an interview the following day. Dorm was nice and clean, it was a little hot as no AC but not too much of a problem. Nice common area, staff great and friendly. I would stay here again, nice area of London.

Very clean hostel in a great location. Staff are friendly enough. This hostel is great for groups but more difficult to meet people if you are a solo traveller. Breakfast was decent. Good price as well so would stay again.

Great hostel, had everything you needed, staff always looking to help, right near a metro and shops. Safe area, clean rooms - would definitely recommend!

You have to be looking for certain things before you stay here. It's not much of a party hostel, nor is the location that good. The tube is a bit of a walk, and the local spots nearby are pretty pricey. The perks of this hostel are the amazing security, pretty nice staff, and relatively cleanliness of the facilities. You definitely pay a little more than I think it's worth even if you're searching for those specific things in your selection.

Great staff and solid hostel. Location is about a ten-minute walk from the closest tube but it's right next to the Natural History and Science Museum, which are awesome. Really big hostel but they have the facilities to handle it and the WiFi works well (and in the rooms too!)

Could not have asked to stay at a better location. Staff were amazing and it was never to much hassle to help you out. I've stayed at other hostels in London but I would choose Astor Hyde park over all of them. I would definitely recommend.

Amazing location in a very exclusive part of London. The staff are legendary and the building has old-word home character. Good weights training lifting your bag up some very long flights of stairs!

Location is pretty good, all things considered. Not too far from parks and other sites. Be careful not to go to the other Astor hostel in the area. The lounge is fantastic. Beautiful, historic structure and furnishings. Spacious and airy. Great place to hang out to charge your phone or get some downtime after a day out.

my boyfriend and I stayed in astor for 2 nights, we stayed in the 10 bed room. everyone (staff and room mates) was nice, easygoing and really polite. the hotel is clean, in a nice place, close to the bus stop, etc. the breakfast was "free" but really good - bread, jam, juice, cereal -. the only thing was about the shared bathroom in the morning, but it not a reason to not stay there, when you book a room like that you may expect this kind of things. loved the whole experience, amazing hostel!!!

Quiet hostel with friendly staff. Beautiful area right next to hyde park. Only downsides were that it is quite far from the tube 10-15 minute walk and the bathroom wasn't clean however when 10 people are sharing thats a given.

Through the years of visiting this hostel over and over again I can tell you that they have improved a lot in 5 years! The hostel is better organized now and things have gone simpler in a good way.

Extremely warm and friendly staff, clean and comfortable dorms, my belongings and I felt perfectly safe. Its location is my favourite thing about this place; only a stones's throw away from Kensington Gardens/Hyde Park and a comfortable walk/bus ride away from all the tourist spots. I'll probably never even consider any other hostel in London.

location was not that great. 15 min walk from the nearest tube. staff was either a hit or a miss.

Recommend to stay in London! Clean

I would have never expected such a high quality hostel for this money! Very clean (I mean VERY - in all of my over ten years hostel experience, the cleanest one ever), always available friendly staff, very decent breakfast (unlike poor expectations when reading the comments) and great location - right next to Victoria and Albert Hall and V&A museum and underground stations. Highly recommend!
