The staff is in a rather affluent area, so it's very clean and classy around, with the many embassies in the area. Take time to explore Gloucester Rd and the Kensington area. Ten minute walk to an underground station, including the Piccadilly line to Heathrow. Facilities are fine, have all that you need. My three bed dorm had a bathroom to ourselves, good temp at night. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff, they answered my million questions. Will definitely stay here again. Thanks! :-)

The hostel had great service and facilities, but it was way to far from any of the underground entrances. Its on a really high class street, so it was safe to walk at night. However, I wouldnt stay there again because of the long walk to the tube.

It is not easy to find a good hostel in London, but this one is a nice exception. The only minus was a lack of proper ventilation of the dormitory.

It is easy to find here from railway station. The toilet is clean and specially only for one room though it is outside of the room. It is suit for a goup of 4 or 6 friends staying here. However, there is no security chest in the room. Generally speaking, it is worth choosing.

Really nice feel to it. Nice spacious communal living room area with sofas and theres usually films on in the evening. Very chilled, but definitely also houses a party vibe. Solid choice.

It's a very well situated hostel, clean and with a big and nice kitchen. The rooms are amazing: bright and spacious, even the ones meant for a lot of guests. The staff is friendly and always keen to help. Definitely a good choice to stay in London and a great value for money!

Breakfast was served from 8-10 which isn't too bad, and it consisted of toast, cereal, drinks, etc. Lots of stairs, but that wasn't really a problem other than when I had to get my bags up. It was very clean as well, they cleaned the bathrooms and showers daily and I never had any "ew" moments. Only real problem was the staff when they weren't working. They all live there and are very loud and kin of rude when not working. Like they own the place. Made the common room kind of awkward.

I had a pleasant time at Astor Hyde, the building itself is very impressive and the staff was helpful. Mind you, the 3rd and 4th floors are definitely a hassle if you have mobility problems; no elevators and very high stairs may be a problem to you if you can't move about easily. Other than that, I had a nice time. A bit on the formal side though... but cool! About a 10 minute walk to the nearest tube station.

Overall, the hostel was a great place to stay: secure, comfortable, clean and great location. But I found all the regulations and procedures to be a little much, and there is a charge to use everything. Even if you get this money back, it was inconvenient to not have the ten pounds that they wanted for a security deposit for the key and the electronic converter.

Great location, right next to Hyde park and walking distance from several main attractions. 10 min walk from 2 tube stations. The staff were very helpful! Breakfast was bread with jams or cereal. I was traveling alone, and I thought it was hard to meet people, if you're looking to meet people definitely stay elsewhere! Otherwise, it's a fair hostel.

I was very pleased with Astor Hyde Park Hostel! It's located in a very beautiful (and safe) part of South Kensington, less than a ten-minute walk from the nearest tube stop, and only a half-hour walk from Buckingham Palace. The staff are helpful and very kind, they provide padlocks to store your things under your bed, and they have very reasonably priced laundry facilities if you have an extended stay like I did. Overall, I had a marvellous experience at this hostel!
