Yeh great place, really central, clean. For london definitely a goer! Did feel some of the staff weren't super friendly but nothing drastic. Cant be mates with everyone all the time I suppose.

It would be really useful to have a lift or elevator, suitcases are too heavy to go to the 3rd, 4th and 5th floor

Pretty good hostel. Location not super close to tube, and Gloucester Road has some issues at the moment, but you can get around without issue. Right near a bus stop on 52 and N9. Very safe. Would recommend.

The room was quite big, so everybody had enough space for his stuff. The bathroom was not the cleanest, but ok! Breakfast was good: bread, chocolate and hazelnut spread, jam, butter, peanutbutter, coffee and tea, cereals. Next tube station is about 12-15min walk away, but you can also take the bus to the station or e.g. oxford street, picadilly circus... Kensington is a really nice neighboorhood which feels safe also at night.

Oh my god! the stairs are never ending. Awesome hostel with a nice feel and friendly staff. To make this hostel perfect they would install a lift.

The stay in the astor hyde park hostel was flawless. The staff was always present and ready to help. The room was clean and I was not worried about my stuff left there during the stay. The wifi connection was great. To sum it up I would definitely recommend this hostel for anyone.

I had a great time staying at the Astor Hyde Park. Some pros: staff is very friendly, kitchen is clean, communal room is very awesome, security seems better than average, each bunk has its own locker, overall very nice ambience. Some cons (more like nitpicks): bathrooms are tiny, room gets hot so keeping windows open is a must, many floors so going up and down sucks.

A really great place to stay. Prices are reasonable for London and the location is great; just few steps from the South of Hyde Park a few minutes walking from the underground. The staff is really friendly and helpful and the dorm are clean and convenient. The free breakfast is nice, but it starts a bit late - 8.00 a.m.

Room for 6 pers. is very small. Shower's also small and has poor, bad looking curtain, so the floor in the toilet was wet all the time. Uncomfortable is also lack of bedside light and socket close to the beds. The equipment is very basic. Things like: atmosphere, staff and common rooms were very nice and friendly.

Great hostel. Staff where very friendly and helpful. Very clean. Alittle far from the soho and Piccadilly area where most people go out at night.

It's a clean hostel in a good location. The staff were great. Bathrooms aren't amazing but definitely workable.

The staff were great, very pleasant and helpful. Facilities were very clean (my main factor when choosing a hostel). Having 24hr reception and secure baggage storage is extremely helpful. My only issue is that it's quite a walk away from the nearest Underground station, which can be difficult when lugging a heavy backpack, but it's something that can't be helped. My stay at the Astor Hyde Park was fantastic, and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone visiting London.

Other than the nastiness of our bathroom and the distance to get places, it was a pleasant stay. Would recommend but be wary of sharing with 11 other people.

“The hostel is definitely a sight. The building is beautiful, it's right down the street from Hyde Park, very clean. There was a lot going on but it was still a very relaxed atmosphere.”

The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the location is excellent: walking distance from three of the major museums, Hyde Park, a tube station with access to the Picadilly and District/Circle lines, and various restaurants at all levels of price and sophistication. You are 10 to 20 minutes by tube from pretty much any destination in London. The hostel is clean, safe, and young with a full, working kitchen and a great common space where they turn on Netflix at night for those not going out.

Love the place really much, it's easy to meet people there, and they have a cozy social area which people gathered at night. Though it takes about 10-15 minute walk to the nearest tube, I enjoyed the walk anyways, you can actually take different routes to enjoy the environment around London; You could either pass by the museum area, or simply rent a bike and ride around the park to reach other tube stations which I do nearly every morning.

Amazing location quite near the tube and super close to Hyde Park. Clean facilities. Good included brekki and amazing kitchen for cooking meals. Wifi was pretty good. Only downside was that it was a pretty quiet hostel but staff are great at suggesting where to go.

Great staff, clean beds and bathrooms. Staff were super friendly. Small note for the maintenance folk - Room 3's shower did not drain very well, could be something to check into. Otherwise, quiet and clean and just what I needed. Cheers!
