I had a excellent stay at Astor Hyde Park. I booked only a few days in advance and I easily found a room. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Cleanliness is far above acceptable and my overall impression is really good. Besides, the great location and low prices make it a fantastic option for a few days in London.

Using the luggage storage downstairs for my extra bags was nerve-wracking because literally any of the guests could have stolen my things. I wish there was some way to make sure that only I could remove my luggage from the room.

I could stay in here because I was traveling with my dad who is 78 and he will not take him in. They were very polite with me on the phone, that is all I can say. It was my fault because I did not read the terms carefully.

Pretty decent hostel, great staff, weird social dynamic. Each day I was there, there was a huge crown in the common room... half-asleep, never talking or even looking at each other. My room had some nice people though, and there was a party the first night that looked fun but I was too tired to participate in. The big negative is that the plumbing sounds like a tsunami descended on your room. Woke me up throughout each night, so I was very happy to leave just for that reason.

My friends and I had a great time at this hostel. It was clean, comfortable and was better than what we were expecting. Breakfast was good and the kitchen, internet and other facilities were easily accessible. Plus it was really easy to meet other people who were staying there because there were so many common areas to hang out. The location was good, not too far from the center of London, and the staff were really helpful in answering all of our questions about transportation and the city.

I've stayed in a few of the Astor London hostels and think they're all really great! This one is really well-priced for such an excellent location. The staff are friendly, there's a good kitchen and common areas, the dorms are quite spacious. I'd definitely stay here again.

Great location, right next to Hyde Park and the wonderful area of the Natural History Museum, Science Museum and Victoria and Albert Museum. Beautiful building and good common areas like the kitchen and lounge upstairs. Rooms are nice and clean. I would definitely recommend this hostel. (But I think breakfast can be improved with more options of things to eat (not just bread) and drink (not just milk).)

Excellent excellent location, great cooking facilities, always something going on. Not the quietest hostel going but still really good.

A really good location... I have been walking around London without using underground which is a great way to safe money and see not only the touristic areas... The staff was competent and helpful.... The only aspect I am not a big fan of are mixed room.... the guy next to me was snoring for the whole night which can ruin your sleep...

We had such a great time at Astor Hyde Park. It is located in a very nice neighbourhood right next to Hyde Park and the lounge and the breakfast are really good. But the best thing about this hostel is the staff. I have never encountered such friendly and helpful staff that were always in such a good mood. Thank you, we had a great stay !

So far, the best way to really feel in a British establishment. Nice big house with parties downstairs and good isolated rooms. Clean and friendly staff, just make sure about the location if not using any mobile device, I got lost for 30 min before reaching the hostel.

Really good Hostel. Best I've stayed in London so far. Would definitely go back. Staff was very helpful and polite. Room and bathrooms were always clean. The only thing I would like to see enhanced is the way they serve breakfast. The food in itself is really good and better than most hostels, but there is no one watching the breakfast table. So if tehy run out of jam or butter or peanut butter there is no one there to replace it. Would definitely go back.

I had a GREAT stay at Astor and would definitely go back. It was a *little* trek to the nearest underground station, which was only annoying in the rain, but otherwise is in a good location. Have no complaints!

Some of the staff members are not so helpful... But the hostel itself is very clean and the location very nice.
