I read online that this place was one of the best hostels in London. Not only was it dirty but our lockers were broken and when we asked for a place to lock our belongings they told us tough luck. The walls were paper thin and there were a lot of screaming drunk people up until 4 in the morning, making it impossible to sleep. All around it was a bad experience

I had the luck of staying two nights in Astor Museum Inn's annex building, which was very quiet and good to sleep in. The bed was very comfortable, and Astor Museum Inn provided probably the cleanest showers I ever encountered in a hostel. Though perhaps not as cheap as other hostels in London, it was worth every penny I payed. The location was perfect as well, next to the British Museum, the brilliant London Review book shop and close to both Holborn and Tottenham Court Rd station. Thank you!

The beds were really good if you're not tall, but I'm not so it was excellent. Clean sheets, clean washroom, good shower.

Location is very good, but other than that I would not recommend this hostel. It is quite run-down and dirty, breakfast is minimal at best, and common areas are small and generally full. Definitely a party atmosphere so not great if you want to relax or get a good night's sleep.

I really enjoyed my stay there! Showers are great, but could benefit from some non-slip mats. Nice, bright and airy! More frequent vacuuming would also be good. The kitchen was tidy even though so many people were cooking! Overall, very good!

Lovely place right near all the sights rooms were clean staff friendly and for a good price. Also loved not having to pay for Internet and bag storage as well as adapters available again for free!

Cant recommend this hostel highly enough - it is unsurpassed for location! In addition staff are friendly, and due to its small size if you are travelling independently it is a great place to get to know other backpackers. It has a super laid back vibe. I'll be returning here next time I visit london.

Great location! I would have liked to know I wasn't in the main building with kitchen and lounge prior though.

One of the best hostels I've stayed. Stuff was super friendly and helpful. all sightseeings are within walking distance. Breakfast was cereal, cookies and toast with jam, Nutella or peanut butter.

Really nice room, clean and staff were friendly, could walk to west end so saved loads on Taxis, only downside was that the shower was flooded so couldn't shower

There is no doubt that we were very happy with our stay at Astor Museum Inn! The location was the seriously the best, the atmosphere and the staff were really awesome, polite, and helpfull with anything. I was surprise and amazed by the cleanliness, and I had no" bad" experiences using the bathrooms and showers - I really appreciated that ALOT! The security was great, and there were many ways to secure ones things, and that was very important for me with a valuable camera on me :) Thanks!!!

Really enjoyed this hostel. Full kitchen made cooking meals easy and breakfast consisted of fairly normal hostel essentials like toast and jam. No complaints there. They very nicely supplied me with detergent for a load of laundry. A bit far from the train station but right across from the British Museum. Would definitely stay there again. A bit of a bro-house atmosphere that's good for having a few beers and meeting others but not too over the top.
