All in all really well equipped. I only got to stay one night and was sad I wasn't staying longer. This is the place for anyone in London on a budget, alone or with others. Staff were great, room and sheets were clean and comfy. Wifi strong and with a £1 breakfast (for charity!) you really can't complain. I was there for business and not pleasure but also saw they had social events most every night so it fits all sizes.

The hostel is ideally located, close to the British Museum and the Theater Quarter of London, so easy to do some cultural outings. The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean, and there are lockers in every room to keep your things secure.

The neighborhood was charming and the accommodation was fine. The room could make use of some airing though. Nonetheless, the bed was clean and comfy, and it was worth the money.

Need more toilets/showers, and they could be cleaned better. Need to replace your pillows. Was almost better sleeping without one.

Positives Hostel was nice and staff were friendly and helpful. Excellent location - could walk to many attractions and close to tube station. Negative Rooms were quite small but it is London Biggest complaint was that there were mice in the rooms. They have up signs saying no food allowed but generally people do have snacks/ sweeties in their bags - so watch out for mice chewing through your things. Showers were very small and difficult to get changed in without getting clothes wet.

There were 4 outlets on a single power strip in the entire 8-bed room, no privacy screens, cramped under-bunk storage that doesn't open all of the way, and a single toilet & shower per floor (~16 people). Wouldn't say the bathroom was dirty, but it was definitely old and uncomfortable. Staff was nice.

Stayed for 1 night on 8th July. Staff were very friendly, but facilities in the dorm is not that all great. My friend's locker was faulty was an open top. Did not have a good night sleep as other dorm mates were super noisy. 1 lady even climbed up to her BF's bunk at 3am+ to make-out and they even tried to have their 'intimate moment' after I heard sounds of loosening belt.. So disturbing! They need to get a hotel.. It was room 22. Had to sit up to prevent them from advancing any further.

Great great location when you realise it! The small walk to second building was no problem at all and I felt safe there. However smoking area in main building is literally connected to the food preparation and eating areas and the doors are left open. What is the point??! Filled the room with smoke during breakfast. Not appealing at all. Other than that, clean and kind staff. We enjoyed our stay.

Stayed 8 nights at the Astor Museum and had an amazing time!! Met loads of fellow travellers. Staff were incredible and very helpful with everything! The location of the hostel is great - being right next to the British museum it is very well served by busses and the Holborn and multiple other underground stations are only a short walk away!
