On arrival I found the place to be quite dirty and didn't look like it had been cleaned for a couple of weeks. That said, my room was OK and I was fortunate to have 3 great room mates who were very respectful. I found half the staff to be nice and professional, the other half to be quite unpleasant. This is definitely more set up for under 25s but everyone was friendly and I liked the idea of having a kitchen. Give it a clean, put some curtains on the bunks and this is a good place.

the hostel is at a top location! but we didn´t expect to stay in a 3-floor-house with the toilets and bathrooms only in the ground floor...was a bit annoying to always have to go 3 floors downstairs, even in the night... and our neighbours were very loud, the breakfast really poor. the last day, when we came back from visiting the city our door was standing open, probably the cleaners left it open. that was reaally scary and bad!!! so not the best spot to stay....wouldn´t recommend!

The staff was very friendly and helped when we needed information about the city, but they did seemd more occupied with having a good time themselves than looking after the guests, or the rooms. And the room wasn't clean as well.

Fantastic location; staff were very helpfull and friendly. The only problem was that it was too hot in the room that I stayed in,such that it was very difficult to sleep.

Good hostel. Breakfast simple but nice. Perfect location, big rooms and good showers and toilets. Nice stuff. I definetely recommend it.

I used to love this hostel but it has unfortunately gone downhill. It has turned into a party hostel which makes it impossible to get sleep because there are drunk people shouting and yelling everywhere. In the morning I couldn't even hang out in the movie room because it was full of staff members passed out there. I used to rave about how nice the staff was. While the staff is still nice if I need help they now also seem to have their own clique and they're just not as friendly anymore.

This is a nice hostel in a good area. That being said it lacks communal spaces to chill out as there is often a lot of people in the hostel and sometimes it was hard for us to find a place to sit quietly and Skype or anything like that. Cleanlinesss could be improved a bit, but on the whole its a good hostel.

It's a nice hostel. Great location right near the West End and walking distance to heaps of cool stuff. Close to Holborn station. The kitchen is a little bit small but still easy to cook in with all the pots/pans/cooking oil and everything else you need supplied. The staff are friendly and helpful. Had a good stay

Loved the people. They did take my slinky, but I kind of let them.

I always go back to this hostel when I'm in London. There's a reason for it -- usually good fun, excellent location and great place to meet people. Plus, its right across the street from the british museum:)

Hostel has some small minuses: room is quite small (4 bed dorm), cage under my bed sounds awful, opening it I felt myself like in a medieval castle, no storage for outwear, even a simple hook, breakfast is poor. But this is nothing, comparing with excellent location. A nice bonus was a washbasin in the room. Good value for money!

Great location, right next to the British Museum and very close to Soho, so there's lots to do in the area. Staff is very young and very friendly, my only complaint is the cleanliness, bathrooms don't have much ventilation so they kind of stink all the time, and the rest of the hostel is not perfectly clean (though the beds are clean) and it gives the hostel a very relaxed and hippie ambient, so for me that wasn't a problem.

Excellent location, fun staff, great room in both senses and nice travelers. I had a nice time. Downside, the place needs cleaning badly, it is on the brink of being dirty.

Very poor equipment, not even a hook for hanging clothes. For sure it’s not one of the best hostels I’ve visited in London. Staff and position are the only good things. Certainly I will not suggest this hostels to anyone, but if you don’t have alternative you can bear it.

Unfortunately when I arrived they had run out of towels and locks, so I had nothing to dry myself off with after showers and no way to lock up my things :-(. I did however get a lovely welcome email before my visit. How much better could it have been if they had informed me ahead of time that they were out of these things? That would have been my only suggestion.

The best thing about it was location- it was right across from the British Museum so it was easy to find your way around. Although, it really needed some additional community space as there was really no where comfortable to relax except one small room that was normally full. Bathroom space is limited. The dorm itself was great- really comfortable and quiet. A little dingy but it was good overall.
