This is one of my favourite hostels in London, and it's recently been repainted and refurbished so the character has improved - location couldn't be better, right next to the British Museum.

Overall, not too bad. The staff acted like they didn't want to work there, always trying to pass on work to someone else or complaining about the work they were doing. Only one electrical outlet per room, could be easily fixed with a power board. Kitchen facilities were small, but functional. Metal frame beds are quite squeaky, and in my room almost half of the luggage cages underneath the beds were incapable of being locked. Quite a lot of space in the rooms though, even when full.

Not the best hostel in London by a long way! I only stayed one night but the room I was in was freezing and the PowerPoint was falling out of the wall. There was literally one toilet and shower on the first floor for several dorm rooms! The staff were nice enough but the kitchen was dirty when I got there ad the bathroom was as well.... Was a little disappointed after my stay at the Astor Hyde park....

Staff were sensational. Especially Iness (apologies for spelling) who helped with any questions or queries I had and was always cheerful. She even showed me where several cinemas were! I didn't use the facilities very much because I was too busy exploring London most of the time but the kitchen area was excellent.

Great hostel, would stay again or just go here to hang out if in town! Really friendly staff and guests, young people looking for conversations and a good time in London.

Great place to stay for a few days while in London, the staff was very nice, the emplacement is perfect and it was even quiet during the nights! A must-keep address! :)

Proper wifi at the main hostel and at the annex would have made things a lot easier, as when travelling it is an essential to book tickets etc.

Could not get a better location and wonderful staff. Sadly, patrons don't seem to be doing their own dishes: hey! don't leave it for the staff because then all the other guests have to work around your dirty dishes! Otherwise, awesome old building, friendly people, and free lockers (though no free wifi). Thanks y'all!

Good location, but there are mice all over the sleeping rooms! Breakfast is simply toast and cerel so don't expect anythings else.

Good location, fine prices, CLEAN. But it would be nice, if there were lockable lockers in the rooms.

The hostel is OK. but although the staff is friendly, they are just kids. The problem about not having ANY adult supervision is that if you happen to have any trouble they just wont be of any help. I payed for a week Internet service (8pounds) and there was a day I didn't have any service and they weren't able to fix it. I had to bother different members of the staff so they would call the Internet provider. Most of the staff don't really know the city so they're not helpful with touristic info.
