A great place to stay in Central London, right next to the British Museum and a short walk to Leicester Square. Comfy beds, friendly staff and a very chilled out atmosphere.

I really like the stay in the hostel. But what was really stupid for me was that I had made a reservation for me and my friend, and yet we were placed in different buildings. I think that they should't break groups apart, and if they really need to, that they choose for groups of 4, so you always would be in a room with someone you know!

Staff were nice, facilities were basic and security was very lax. Arrived at the hostel after booking a person mixed dorm and ended up being put not only in different rooms but in different buildings and was not informed of this until after we paid and got checked in!

Room was nice. Bed was good, though pillow a little flat. Security cages under beds could do with oiling as they're metal and incredibly noisy when pulling out, so difficult not to disturb your roomies! Nice big sink in room with hand gel, showers good and warm and clean. No real communal area so you either sit in the kitchen which was quite noisy or in the DVD room (which I didn't go into). I understand there was a charge for the wifi, but couldn't see any signs stating this.

Always friendly, helpful staff, clean linen, nice view and excellent location. A real find considering how cheap this hostel costs.

Good location in Bloomsbury, close to the subway with access to all major sites. The room was small and stuff. Also it was on the 4th floor with no lift, not so fun with a heavy bag. The biggest down side is no free wi-fi.

There were three of us who arrived disappointed to learn that one of us had to stay in another room. It was all right for us as we were not very picky. However. we would appreciate if the hostel had informed us earlier on this decision so that we can make the best possible decision based on the situation. Also, other customers, especially females, may be less inclined to sleep with complete strangers when they travel in a group. Apart from this, beds and facilities are clean.

This was one of my favorite hostels that I have been to. The atmosphere created by the staff and the surrounding area was spectacular. The staff was always helpful and present when needed. The rooms were clean and spacious. I would recommend Astor Museum Hostel to everyone looking for a youth hostel.

overall the hostel is good, excellent location. but a few things were really terrible. most staff related. not the staff themselves, the people who actually work there are great, friendly people. the problem was their friends. the worst incident i had was when 2 people shared a bunk in dorm. i dont think anyone knew who the girl was, but the guy told me he was a friend of someone in the staff.

The best hostel I've stayed at in London. Location was great. Staff were very helpful. Good kitchen facilities and the breakfast included was more than the traditional hostel corn flakes. The building itself was old so would be hard to keep clean however the staff worked hard to ensure it was as clean as possible. Nice spacious dorm rooms too. I would recommend staying here and I would stay here again. Great value for money.
