Of all the hostels I have stayed in, this was definitely one of the best. The staff is a really great group of college age people who are always ready to give advice or help you out. Something is always going on there if you dont want to be out in London and they have activities that you can join in like parties, pub crawls and movie nights.

There is a big problem with the bed attribution, it's bad for a good hostel to have this kind of problem.

Just like any other Astor - Run down, cramped and dilapidated. We've strayed in Astor's before and only booked this 1 as everything else was full and the location looked appealing. However reception is so cramped that you can only comfortably get 1 person in although there are always at least 5 waiting and it stank of body odour on the day we arrived. The bkfast room is even smaller and the showers aren't the best. My advice is to avoid Astor hostels all together and try YHA or St Christophers

Superb place, much nicer than any other hostel I've been too and in a great location too. Just a shame about people snoring!

Very average hostel. When I reached there I found out that I was going to stay in another building 2 blocks away. The key I was given for the room was useless since the lock was jammed and the door remained unlocked.I reported it and I was told they would fix it but they never bothered. The showers were small and dirty. It is one of the few hostels in London which charges you for their wi-fi (5pounds/day).The heating didn't work.It looked like they were trying to make money out of everything.

Good location, good price, but not very clean. The shower was leaking and no ventilation... The kitchen was a real mess. The lounge was really small and stinky.

I stayed in a private room which is a completely separate building to the main place. It is only round the corner but of course being private is was quiet and peaceful, which is what I needed at the time - as opposed to 'fun' and computer/staff facilities, which looks like you'd get if you stayed in the main building. Otherwise nothing else can be faulted other than you don't get a breakfast - but that isn't a major bug bear.

I really loved being in this hostel, amazing location a cleanliness. I just think I saw some diferent way of treatment from staff guys to each guests. But not all of them, of course. The rest was definitely aewsome(showers, breakfast...), for sure I´ll be there again in my next time in London.

Everything was good/excellent apart from the lack of plug sockets in the dorm. This made it awkward for charging mobile phones so I was without one for most of the weekend I stayed. I would recommend something be done about adding new power sources to prevent others being disappointed when they arrive for longer than a few days. Other than this I thoroughly enjoyed the stay.

Maybe more plugs in rooms...in mine there was only one. Everything else was great and clean, better than expected. I would definitely consider staying here again.

Carpets need cleaning, but other than that, this hostel is great! Location could hardly be better, and the staff was wonderfully helpful. With the price of the rooms so acceptable, we would (and probably will) definitely stay here again

The location of the hostel is really amazing. Staff is very friendly and helpful. We were in a small twin bed room in the annex which was completely fine for a city trip. Showers were cleaned every day and there was always enough hot water to take a nice shower. I would clearly recommend this hostel to anyone who is in London for a short city trip. We will definitely come again
