Great place, nothing to improve on

Great hostel and great people. We had a small problem with the toilet but they fixed it immediately. A pretty good breakfast was included and all facilities were clean. I will definitely go back to this hostel in my next trip to London. Great value for price!

Really clean, comfortable, available stuff to do (i.e. pub crawl!), and that feeling that you want in a hostel.

It was ok, great postition. Bedroom was clean, the shower and the toilette not so much.

The staff was nice upon arrival, helped with my luggage and offered to keep it safe in the common room until actual check-in. I could also leave my laptop in the reception, very kind! The room was over my expectations and I shared it with 3 awesome girls. No problem with que to toilet or showers and breakfast was ok, everything was good for the price. Only minus would be that the fire-alarm went off in the middle of the night because of some idiots smoking inside, but apart from that, I enjoyed!

Room was to small for four of us, but it was clean. It was to warm, you allways need to have your windows open even in the middle of winter. Bathroom was not clean enought. We were there five days and it was more than enought in that small place. Atmosphere and staff were very good. Location great!

Very welcoming staff. Add-ons like padlocks quite expensive. Still well worth the price.

First of all the location is perfect, it is very close to many shops, restaurants and bars as well as a tube and many bus station. The staff is nice, but they are not very likely to actually start a conversation with you or build the kind of atmosphere where one meets new people easily. The hostel is clean(except the shower curtains) and the rooms are okay, although the beds are a little small. I still slept pretty good, it was fairly quite.

Toilet was filthy, there was hair in the sink, and in the basement toilet they had a random assortment of left toothbrushes, razors, shampoos and other toiletries. Who wants to use a stranger's toothbrush? Seriously, guys, throw them out. The sheets were in piles in front of the check-in desk (for laundering?). We heard the breakfast is great, but it isn't served till 8 and we had an early flight to catch. Would consider staying again because a good breakfast is hard to find in a British hostel.

We thought this hostel exceeded our expectations! The staff (we met four) was lovely and helpful (I can't understand how people can think otherwise). The breakfast was ok, there was toast, coffee, tea, jams, nutella, milk and cereals. However if you want there is good storage possibilities if you'd like to buy something else. The linens were clean and I'm picky! The only bad thing was that there was only one lamp in the room, we would have liked a bedlamp so we didn't have to wake our roommates!

Great hostel. Location was great. Beds are a little small, which wasn't a problem for me but might be for some people. Shower curtains could really do with a change and there aren't that many showers, so get up a little earlier if you want one in the morning. Other than that, pretty good!

The principal problem with this hostel is the cleanless. Take a shower becames a nightmare. And one night a boy vomited all the bathroom floor, and the bathroom stay the same way until the evening for the other day!

if you are looking for a cheap place to sleep the nights between busy days out the astor quest is definitely a good choice with its very helpful and nice staff, clean facilities and great location just around the corner from hyde park. however, rooms are small with bunkbeds and toilets/showers are outside.
