The doorlock on our room was broken, so they removed it and did nothing in the following days. Also, the wifi was not working, and half the bathrooms were out of order. Although I understand these are temporary problems, the whole place could use some maintenance.

Three toilets were out of order and those that worked were VERY crammed, fire alarm vent off in the middle of the night (two nights in a row), and there was only cold water in the showers for two days (It worked properly on the third day). Rooms are quite small and during the night its hard to get rested because the walls are very thin. Also, bed mattresses are old and thin. Location was very good, near Pumlico tube station.

The hostel is located near other ho(s)tels and restaurants and just a 10 min walk from Victoria coach and train station. The dorms were cleaned every day. Breakfast consisted of toast with marmalade or cereals, very basic but sufficient. The staff was really nice and friendly. I'll definately stay there again if I visit London.

Good Location, but horrible cleaning, and had a man at the recption very rude, but the the staff in general is nice!

I've been at Astor Hostel before and I recommend it. I slept in 6 female dormitory ensuite...The room was tidy and really clean. If you think you going to be cold at night, you're wrong.The room is extremely hot and I had to sleep with the window open so don't bring any thick pj's ;) The breakfast is good (for a hostel) and the staff is really friendly and helpful. The location is perfect, the area is nice and posh.

Helpful staff, pretty cheap rooms, awesome location. All in all, great place to stay for a few days!

Plus: good location, price, cleanliness. Minus: small room (at least the six bed dormitory), would have more bathrooms, no heating? (a little bit cold at night or perhaps not enough beer in the blood:), hard to find any open bar around ( saturday night). Generally would stay there again:)

Astor Victoria was a really good hostel. When I go to London next time, I will without a doubt stay here. The facilities were good and both staff and guests were all really nice. The price was good. Cheap; including a good bed, warm shower and breakfast. The whole atmosphere was good and my friend and I really enjoyed the whole experience. We stayed for 5 days. The only minus was the water pressure of the showers, but it wasn't a problem either.

Hostel very well placed. Great atmosphere and very friendly staff. I would definitely go back, just for the superb location and very friendly staff!! Look forward to staying here again.

it is a great hostel to stay in i you are young and want to meet people. it was very clean and it was close to victoria station some blocks away=. the staff ws always helpful . good option! recommended! :=

We booked an en suite and it meant that the shower for in the same room as where we slept, I did not like this and neither did the other girls. I did like the wifi however, though the directions to the hostel need to be improved, there were from the other part of the coach station exit rather than arrival exit!

The hostel is in a great location with reasonable price. the staff was very helpful and the facilities were quite clean. However, the kitchen was a bit messy and the toilets were quite small. All in all, it's a good value for money.

I was actually satisfied, but otherwise there was messy atmosphere, I mean in the kitchen it was dirty and oil was everywhere...

Overall a really good hostel, clean rooms and good breakfast. The only downside was that the showers were a little small and the water pressure was a bit weak.

it is very value 4 money to find this hostel in expensive london, good location and the dorm is clean and quiet.thowever, there is no elevator or lift in the hostel, and to bring to the 4th floor through the narrow stairs is really quite a work!

Great place and location! Shad, the Australian manager, and the tattooed Australian were all very cool guys and welcoming!
