Very friendly staff, a good breakfast and excellent wifi. The only negative point was that the rooms were unnecessary noisy. The floors were creaking REALLY LOUD and using the iron security boxes under the bed wakes up everybody else in the room. I know you don't sleep as well in a Hostel as in a Hotel, but this was kind of extreme.

The hostel itself was in a quite small old building, but totally spacious enough even when it was fully booked. I think the room size was pretty much what we paid for, the cleanliness even for one who is very concerned about it thought it was more than decent. Sometimes at breakfast you had to wait for the breadrolls and for some plates and cutlery, but that's ok. The staff was very friendly. Even if the thing was not directly fixable, the staff always came up with a solution.

Ok so if you want to sleep don't go to the hostel there is no way you can sleep before 2am. I stayed in a 6 bed female dorm room 46, and we all had to wake up early for various reasons ( flights, trains, work ...) The problem is not the hostel staff, super nice, it's the guests, banging the doors, talking in the corridors, in short no respect for others. So stay there if you are in London to party hard til late. great location if you need to be close to Victoria station.

I've been in saunas cooler than these rooms. Possibly the worst wifi in Europe.

Good: friendly staff, clean and tidy hostel, relatively safe. Not good: can sometimes get noisy late at night, especially after midnight, loud music plays in reception 24 hrs which can give you a headache if you just want to relax, as this is sometimes the only free communal space to sit. Hostel is not as firmly managed as the Hyde Park branch, needs more authority with its rules.

Sure, it's crowded, but then again it's the middle of the universe - great location in Pimlico and walking distance to Victoria Station, also well served by bus. Wifi was spotty... yet people appeared glued to their smartphones regardless. Like the other Astor I've visited, it attracted a lot of French and other Europeans in loud weekend holiday groups, not so many solo backpackers - but that seems to be the way London is going in the age of the EU, and certainly not the hostel's fault :)

The staff were great and super accommodating, really easy and good location, a little bit crammed but still comfortable. It was a really great place to stay. The wifi was terrible though. The only room i could really get it was at reception and even then it would cut out all the time and take 5 minutes to come back. Made it super difficult to do my online bookings.

Nice for the price, considering it is in PImlico. Close to Victoria Station and ideal for sightseeing.

We booked a 4 Female room, and when we arrived at the hostel we couldn't slept toghether (we stay in 2 different rooms). When we booked it before, we wrote to the hostel and said that we wanted stay toghether, so it's a bad situation for us because we would celeberate a birthday one of those nights and we couldn't do all the thinks that we had plan. Wifi didi't work very well...
