The welcoming email includes a photo of the building with an arrow which is very helpful. Excellent location. Front desk guy was helpful. Security is mixed since they give keys for the building and hostel but not for the rooms. Unlocked rooms is weird. Lockers can fit medium-sized bags but not larger. Locks provided if needed. Wooden floors, beds and doors are NOISY and mean you get woken up when someone comes in the room. Rooms need blackout curtains. The small back balcony is the best part.

We were surprised at this hostel, we hadn't expected much but we were thrilled with almost everything. Had all the basic for a great stay, no bunks which was lovely, good showers and a social area including kitchen and balcony. The staff were amazing and helped us plan our trip in Budapest and SZIGET festival making life so much easier. I loved the location and the way our bedroom balconette looked over the hustle and bustle of Budapest! FAB HOSTEL

Really really hot and loud outside due to keeping windows open...needs ceiling fans

Great location. Doors don't lock, so you can't lock your bedroom door when you're sleeping which is kinda weird...but nothing bad happened. Ok kitchen, only two bathrooms which is a bit annoying especially in the morning rush. Staff were really good though, helped us out whenever we had a question. Overall a nice stay.

Just one toilet in a floor. That corner of astoria is very noisy. But it is ver y well located

Dear Alonso, Problably you have missed to see that, on every floor there are several ensuite rooms, which means, even when we are fully booked, one bathroom is shared among 6 persons in avrage. Kind Regards Laszlo

The location is perfect to get anywhere. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Good place to stay if you don't mind that there is traffic noise during the nights. Only thing which I wished for that room doors could be locked, although the building was secured well.

Good location pretty close to ruins bars and most sights. Very quiet hostel, quite small. Nice for a few peaceful nights, or if you want a calm place to stay but have other people to go out with. Little or no drinking in the hostel. No bunk beds were a large plus. Only two bathrooms but it didn't matter since there were few people. Wifi worked well in rooms. Everything kept clean. Small lockers in rooms for valuables.

Room was tiny for 2 people. Solid location for Budapest. Interesting building. Good wifi. Staff pretty helpful. Let us store bags after check out.

A good place to stay for a couple of nights, as it was very central and could walk to all parts of the city centre. Friendly staff, good value and nice little breakfast. Best to get a room away from the busy main street, so you can open the window for fresh air without all the traffic noise. All rooms seem to come off the central lounge which could be a problem when the hostel is busy. Some have glass doors, so there is light all night. So, good for a short stay, but not for a long time.

Great central location, clean spacious rooms in a nice old building, very helpful motivated staff.

Very homey atmosphere, friendly staff, feels very safe. A quiet hostel in a great location to explore the city and very easy to find. Staff have great suggestions for what to see and do in Budapest! Will definitely stay here the next time I'm in Budapest.
