everything was nice about Astoria hostel except pilovs and blankets. i think they should change them

The staff was wonderful, very helpful and friendly. He even cooked a delicious soup for dinner that we enjoyed! The place was a bit hard to find, but it is centrally located. We'd definitely stay here again!

Great place, welcoming and warm staff, perfect location, in walking distance to some great bars and clubs and all the sights of Budapest. Highly reccomend!

Booked for new years eve. Definitely a good hostel, directly overlooking Astoria (nice view). Everything just as one would expect and the price is decent.

The bedrooms are Ok but are quite small for 8 people. I didnt like the beds. Each person has your own locker at the room, what its a plus, and they give you padlocks. The kitchen is fine. I might had have a bad impression of the hostel because when I got there my bed was full of clothes and I had to wait to the people to get back and get everything organized, everybody in my room were real messy and I cant blame the hostel for that. Afterall I liked the hostel

The staff were really friendly and had great local tips for food, cultural areas and night-out. They were keen to help out with any information for booking trains or tours. They also cooked a lovely traditional Hungarian meal on my first night free of charge and they made pancakes for the whole hostel on my last day. Great place.

I LOVE the Astoria Hostel! Besides the great location and cleanliness, the staff and guests are AWESOME!!! The staff are like friends. They cooked Hungarian food for the guests and were very helpful and social. There is a kitchen to help save money, and a beautiful tree filled back yard!!! I didn't want to leave!

This hostel is very nice, staff is very simpathetic and every thing is clean. Moreover, this hostel is very well located, 10 min from every thing. We had a lot of fun in that hostel, they organized a hot wine party with pancakes, and it was very nice. One of the best youth hostel i went. :)

I would recommend a jacket hanger in the dormitory

The only thing that I didn't like was the breakfast, very poor, kitchen not so clean, strange smell in the kitchen.
