Near the end of my 3 week trip in Thailand, I can safely say this was the best hostel I stayed in! The rooms are simple but beautiful (with dark wood paneling), and very clean. The breakfast that was included was delicious (museli, fresh fruit and yogurt was one option!). The staff was lovely as well, and very helpful.

At home Sukhothai is a wodden 2 floor building. The rooms are cosy and clean. The downside: the walls consist of layer of wood and are not tight --> need earplugs to get a good amount of sleep. The staff is friendly when you approach them. Prices are slightly too high for the value. Food in the restaurant has pretty reasonable prices (the beer too) :-) It's about a 15 min. walk to the "bus station" where the trucks wait to take tourists to the old city (30B per ride and person).

Owner Comment (Hide)
Hi, thank you for your comments. Yes, we agree with you that our room wouldn't be quite sound_proved because it's the nature of the Thai home. As you would have noticed, we try to inform our guests by putting the note in the room. Most of our guests are very nice and follow the notice, but some would forget. We plan to fix such problem by inserting sound-proved material between the wall, but the process would take a few months to complete. Thank you very much once again for your comments.

Very good guesthouse. The staff is very nice (we arrived at 4.45am from Bangkok, reception was closed but the lady opened and let us stay at the reception where you have bench and cushion to rest a bit, and wifi), answered my many questions. It is not located near the historic park, but for 30 Baht you can take a songthaew (good experience when you share it with kids going to school), and you have a market and convenient store nearby. The room was clean with all the facilities you need.

Beautiful scenery, amazing breakfast (go for the Thai one). The lady from the reception seems a bit distant, but is really helpful and friendly if you ask for locations in the city.

Only stayed the two nights in a private room, but thought it was a nice place. Couldn't really fault it, seemed a fairly quiet relaxing type of place rather than party central.

We stayed 4 nights at At Home and we truly enjoyed it. The staff is very helpful and nice. We rent a scooter with them, and 10 minutes after we left we had a flat tyre. We called them, they came immediately and manage to get the tyre changed. One hour later we were on the road again and they didn't charge us for the flat tyre. The room is clean and nice. Mattress is a bit hard though, but not the worst we had in Thailand. Aircon wasn't very efficient.... But overall it's a good place to stay!
