Beautiful setting for a traditional Thai house. Two thumbs up!
Lovely staff, and wonderful breakfast included!
Really nice place, extremely clean and comfortable. The only downsize is that, being a wooden house, you will probably hear sounds from the other rooms that might disturb your sleep. But still we highly recommend this place. The breakfast is included and it is really nice.
I thought this was a really charming place and it totally lived up to it's name "At Home." Really nice staff, good food, and it felt like a nice, quiet getaway. The staff helped arrange tours for us, but I think they might have overcharged us a bit for the tuk-tuk half day tour. Otherwise I liked it and would recommend it.
The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. They were helpful and answered all our questions with a positive attitude and were so welcoming. The rooms were a bit small but we didn't mind. The walls are wood so it's not the most sound proof however we had no issues sleeping. It's a 15min songthaew ride to the national park but the stay here is worth it. It's only a 10 minute walk to the main street with restaurants. The free breakfast was nice. Wifi works in the rooms. Hot showers each time.
Near the end of my 3 week trip in Thailand, I can safely say this was the best hostel I stayed in! The rooms are simple but beautiful (with dark wood paneling), and very clean. The breakfast that was included was delicious (museli, fresh fruit and yogurt was one option!). The staff was lovely as well, and very helpful.
At home Sukhothai is a wodden 2 floor building. The rooms are cosy and clean. The downside: the walls consist of layer of wood and are not tight --> need earplugs to get a good amount of sleep. The staff is friendly when you approach them. Prices are slightly too high for the value. Food in the restaurant has pretty reasonable prices (the beer too) :-) It's about a 15 min. walk to the "bus station" where the trucks wait to take tourists to the old city (30B per ride and person).
Very good guesthouse. The staff is very nice (we arrived at 4.45am from Bangkok, reception was closed but the lady opened and let us stay at the reception where you have bench and cushion to rest a bit, and wifi), answered my many questions. It is not located near the historic park, but for 30 Baht you can take a songthaew (good experience when you share it with kids going to school), and you have a market and convenient store nearby. The room was clean with all the facilities you need.
