Great location..... the place is really clean... the staff is super friendly.... specially the 2 guys i came across at the reception.... didnt think it was a crazy party place.... but has the potential too... i guess just had a lotta ppl who were checking out the next day... including myself so didnt wanna do anything heavy ... but the rooftop bar is a good place to start pre drinking.... its cheap..... well yaa I would defi stay here again!

Was only here for a night, but after island hoping will return for 2 nights. Roof top bar was a great way to meet people. Full of people although it shuts at 11. Staff were very helpful and made it a good stay! Rooms were okay. Mattress was covered in plastic though which was quiet loud when you moved! But apart from that great place

The staff were very welcoming and helped us feel safe and secure at the hostel. They locked our valuables free of charge. There was a complimentary breakfast with coffee, tea and toast. Our tour of Athens provided by the hostel was great as well, we really appreciated the budget option and our amazing tour guide. Would definitely recommend Athens Backpackers to friends!

Great location, right near acropolis. Brilliant walking tours, and overall great atmosphere!

Can't believe how perfect this location is. It could not be more convenient for your time in Athens, right on the metro stop for the Acropolis and ancient ruins. There's a rooftop bar with Parthenon views, free and fast wifi, free breakfast, and everything is totally secure and safe. One of the best hostels I've stayed in.

While I was staying at the Backpackers studios I broke my foot on the Athens Walking tour, the staff went out of their way to help and support me. They were exceptionally kind and helpful when I was so overwhelmed. They were also helpful when I was delayed in my departure. The hotel was clean, the water hot, and the A/C worked. Additionally, the Fish Cafe offered wonderful food at truly good prices for Athens. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

Great hostel, AMAZING location, and a wonderful place to visit. I would highly recommend this place. Good breakfast included, and the bars are reasonably priced as well. The staff are also very helpful and honest, as I lost my wallet and got all of the contents returned the next day with nothing missing! One of my favorite hostels in an amazing location. Highly recommended.

Athens backpackers has great value for your money, and in one of the best locations (if not the best) in the city. The staff including the rooftop bartender were very knowledgeable and helpful with any question. Only (big) problem we had was when signing out at 5:30 am, there was just a sign out sheet outside on the bench where you leave your key. Any local who knows that can watch, giving them complete access to the building and thew room. Other than that, great hostel.

Good hostel, great location. Nice cafe and bar next door. Good stop over for visiting the islands or the rest of greece.

Eat at the fish cafe, it is delicious! The rooftop bar was pretty spectacular too!

Great location and atmosphere. Amazing bar and view from the roof. Only problem is that they only have one bathroom per floor...

Location was excellent and the majority of staff very friendly. Two major gripes - rooms were nice enough but there was a major design flaw making it impossible to have a shower without getting water everywhere. The squeegee provided to deal with this didn't exactly help. Secondly, breakfast was disappointing with just toast and a hard boiled egg provided, with more options (at a cost) at the studios only. Overall I had a great stay though.

Great location! Rooftop bar and kitchen area are a fun place to hang out.

staff was actually really cool. enjoyed talking to them for a bit. small free breakfast. the place is split in two located a few blocks away. no real communal lounge place, but there was a bar. literally right next to the acropolis. kitchen in room. paid computer use

this is one of the BEST hostels i have ever stayed at!! modern, clean and the best water pressure with lots of hot water, great staff and facilities..i could go on and on but no point...book this one you wont be disappointed in anything

2.5-hour walking tour is good but actually takes about 4 hours so be sure you plan accordingly. Good restaurants and the Acropolis are very close. Easy to get to the airport by both bus and metro, but it takes about an hour. Staff in cafe are very nice and we got free welcome shots!

Nice staff. Great location near metro and acropolis. Not enough bathrooms though, and every bathroom floods with water. Terrible job on the shower recesses. Bath matts to soak this up would be useful. There are plastic sheets under the regular sheets. I understand this is probably to prevent bedbugs and stuff getting into mattresses but it makes the sheets noisy and hot. The breakfast was average. Stale bread, tea, coffee, an egg if you want one. No breakfast cereal/ muesli, so BYO fibre.

I loved the roof bar( sky bar) and all the staff. Also the location is amazing. This is the 3rd time to Athens and I always stay on this side of the city its closer and more chilled than the Monastrakki side. There is a reason that Athens Backpackers is always busy its the best I think. Thanks guys and Gals

There is a reason this place was the busiest of the 3 hostels I stayed in on my trips in and out of Athens. It's the best located on the good side of town. And they have a amazing roof bar with a fantastic view of the Acropolis. The staff are all really cool as actually care about what they are doing Daniel in particular is very helpful. They have a big selection of rooms as well. Do your self a favour you won't regret it.
