I'm fully satisfied in this place and will go back sooner!
We had a very pleasant stay at Athens Urban Home. The apartment was kept clean although the furnishings were a bit old, but it was great value for the money. Travelers should be aware that the hostel is located in one of the roughest neighborhoods in Athens. Although we didn't have any trouble the area has many rough looking people around and is notorious for crime and theft. Our host was very kind and polite and allowed us to keep our luggage stored for the entire day even after we checked out.
I spent 6 nights in Colorful Urban Home in total and I have to say I enjoyed this stay so much! Overall I'm very satisfied as a guest.

We arrived there, and the lady you received us couldn't speak english...the bathroom wasn't so nice, but the bedroom was...
Nice place, good community feel on each floor. Breakfast was not the biggest
Very good value for money! Our room was prepared very lovely when we arrived and we even had a small balcony. Location is very good, we went everywhere by foot, it's very close to the city center (15min). For those wondering about security: We never felt insecure, even at night. You simply have to be aware that you're not in a luxury district :) Host is very friendly and gave us valuable information on what we should see. Thanks again for your hospitality!
It's quite difficult to find, it's not sign posted or anything, we thought we might have buzzed into someone's flat! The place is cute, nicely decorated. No aircon however, we just had a fan that was broken and didn't rotate so we found it difficult when sleeping in the heat. The area in which the hostel is located is a really dodgy so be very wary of yourself and your belonging when out in the nearby area.
Great place. The area is a bit sketch so just be careful at night. Lots of creepy guys on the streets late night..So heads up to the ladies. Staff was very accommodating and nice.
Hotel is in in a pretty dodgy part of town although we didn't have any trouble. The staff we're extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms don't look anything like the photo's and the breakfast is literally some bread and jam!!
This was a fantastic hostel and I am so happy I was able to spend my time in Athens here! I would recommend this hostel to anyone young or old, it has a great staff, facilities and atmosphere! An A+!!
We really enjoyed our stay here. Helpful and friendly staff spent a long time making us Welcome and showing us locations, and lent us a corkscrew! Well equipped kitchens (oven, hob and pans etc.) meant we could make what we wanted, the rooms were clean and spacious and well decorated. And such a good price too! Only slight negative was no air con - but more than made up for by rest of package. Highly recommended!
The staff is incredibly friendly and will accommodate you in every way they can. But the accommodations left a little to be desired. Each bedroom is quite clean and nice, but they bathrooms and kitchen could use more love. We even had bugs in the kitchen. A bit if a dicey location as well, but really close to everything touristy.
You get what you pay for. Facilities aren't too bad but don't expect anything amazing. The owners were very helpful with providing us maps, wifi and advice, however as three young women travelling together it wasn't the safest area to be in at night, and it was very hot with only one fan in the room.

Breakfast was good, but no A/C, terrible bathroom, and location kind of ruined it. It was really scary to leave after sundown (walked outside for 5mins then came back in.) or before sunrise (got followed by a stranger all the way to the metro station). Wouldn't recommend it for female travelers, especially if they're traveling alone.
The staff were lovely, the room was nice and it was extremely central. As other comments have said a little dodgy after dark but from what I've seen most of Athens is like that to be honest. The only slight problem was lack of air con which made the room a bit like a sauna. However you can't really beat it for the price!
Don't believe the pictures, I don't know where they we're taken but it was t where we stayed. It's nice that you get an apartment but the kitchen it not well equipt with utensils so it is difficult to cook. It was hot whilst we we're there and it was unbearable, there is no way to get a draft from the windows and it's seriously uncomfortable. We were lucky and only had to share with one other couple, I dread to think whatnot would have been like if it was full.
Hosts were extremely pleasant and welcoming. The room was very nice, but far too hot due to no ac. The kitchen was a little dirty in places but stocked well. The area is a little dodgy and we were advised by more than one person including the owner to be careful late at night. However only a short walk to the metro and things were fine again.
Very friendly and helpful, breakfast was included. Quite hard to find however as the building has no advertising for 'Athens Colorful Urban Home' but instead only recognisable from the name of the building 'Kamateroy - 3'.
Lovely owners, beautiful room, good location. The lovely woman there did our laundry for 4 euros, folded it and all. She was wonderful, as was the place. Loved it.
Great place for people on a budget, the staff are great and the rooms are big. It is worth noting however that the hostel is situated in a fairly rough area so if you stay here don't go out too late at night.
