Stayed there 2x. Rooms were big, good breakfast, nice owners. The bathroom is a bit old, so it might not look the best but it's very clean. Common area has a table for breakfast and a computer. Wifi everywhere. Keep their phone number ready if you arrive in the middle of the night (we asked a neighbouring hotel to call them). Felt safe enough in Omonia, I just wished the metro station was closer. The 20min walk to take X95 on Syntagma Sq at 4am was just fine (thx for the early breakfast guys!).

If you are a light sleeper I wouldn't stay here. Nothing to do with the hostel itself, it is just really loud outside at all hours of the night. I slept just fine but the person I'm traveling with did not. The location is really close to Omonia Square, which means you can get anywhere really easily. The Miglen's parents make you breakfast every morning (hard boiled egg, salami, bread, jam, and feta cheese with orange juice and coffee). And Miglen is really helpful if you have any questions.

My sister and I just loved the owner and his mother, they went out of their way to assist us. They really made our stay there very pleasant. Seen as they are a starting enterprise, the organization and facilities weren't as it should. But we feel that they really want to do a good job and they will have the necessary facilities in the future. The only point of criticism is the location of the hostel, the owner himself told us that it had already approved.

The owner was really nice and helpful, but It was really noisy, the room was on a main street. The worst part was the bathroom, I don't know when the last time the bath was cleaned... Dust, hairs everything was there, for me that was the worst part of it... But the room was clean, at least.

Have Miglen meet you when you get off the subway, as we got lost on our way here, and the front of the hotel is between stores on a small street where we got stuck outside waiting for someone to buzz us in. This area is not the safest part of Athens - I would suggest looking closer to the Acropolis. Room and facilities were good, and Miglen was very helpful. There is a kitchen, as well as computer for free use. We had a good stay, one full day in Athens was enough for us though.

The addition of a safe to each room or lockers that could be used for securing valuables would be of great benefit. Also somewhere to store baggage after check out, this was not an issue for us as the host was really flexible with our checkout time. But it will become an issue when the season picks up. The location is very central but not a great area of town but the government seems to be cleaning up the area.

A nice hostel which is great value for money. The owner, Miglen, is very nice and helpful and tries his best to make you feel at home. The hostel itself is in an older building and there are a few things that don't fully work as they should (have to flush the toilet twice etc) but overall it gets the job done. A dodgy location makes this not so suited for single female travellers or families I think, but for (young) couples, male travellers or groups of friends I think it's great value for money

Excellent staff, thanks Miglen and the lady for breakfast (i don't remember her name), you made us feel like at home. It's a perfect place for staying in Athens for a few days... Don't be afraid about the neighborhood, no problem at all. We were suposed to stay for 2 nights and later we came back all in a sudden (because some change of plans) and we were very very welcome, even with such a short notice. Thanks again!

It took us a long while to find the place, it's kind of confusing and hidden among main buildings. It's also a bit out of the way for sight-seeing in Athens and the area it is in is interesting to say the least. However, the people who run are incredibly nice and the inside is very clean and with good furniture.

We were booked to stay for 2 nights at this hostel but we left the very next day. The only reason we stayed the night was because we had just gotten off the plane from Australia and we had nowhere else to go. The man running it was nice, however the hostel was in a horrible area filled with prostitutes (we were pick pocketed straight off) and it was extremely difficult to find as no one, not even store owners in the area, knew the street that it was on. Very cheap, but wouldn't recommend it.

The hostel itself was great. The place is run by a hardworking family that is really friendly. The only problem is that is located in a not so nice area, but we didn't experience any bad things at all

Miglen, who runs the Hostel, is the nicest person I have ever done business with. He is very helpful with getting around Athens, to public transportation and major sites. He makes an authentic Greek breakfast every morning. And when I had to add a night to my stay, he refused my money beyond what I would have paid if I had booked through the site, saving me 15 Euro. Don't worry about the location; cabs in Athens rarely go over four Euros (and are usually less).

A very warm hostel with great hosts. Breakfast is nice and hot shower is available all day. Location is okay (around 10-15 mins walk to city center), although it could be hard to find for the first time.

Athens Home was definitely a home! Ok, the neighborhood is ugly (but just 3 mins walk from Omonoia Metro!) & the building's old but none of them can diminish the overall good experience! Miglen &Ms Villy took the best care of us & the other guests with a genuine interest that felt even more like home. Actually it was more like staying at a beloved aunt's home for the weekend. The breakfast was fine and there was a real kitchen too! By far the best value for money of my entire hostel experience!
