the area where the "hostel" is located is aweful! it is kind of scary. We arrived and there were some british guys that gave us a look like "poor girls"... also it is not very clean and we saw a girl coming from the badroom wrapped in a towel (is she crazy?!) finally we decided to change hostel but the guy did'nt want to give us the money back... we ended up paying much more but students inn hostel was very good! it was worth it.. the area where the "hostel" is located is aweful! it is kind of scary. THIS WAS THE BESTT hostel!It is the most appropriate hostel to see everything around Athens.They provide you with FREE Internet and Laptop use. The staff is very helpful and they are keeping it extra clean!It has a very pretty lobby with paintings on the walls and despite the problem they say the area has,we had no problem wondering around even in the middle of the night.Museums,Acropolis,metro,buses are very close to you and the whole area is FULL of hotels like 4 stars hotels.THIS WAS THE BESTT hostel!It is the most appropriate hostel to see everything around Athens.They provide you with FREE Internet and Laptop use. Very bad neighbourhood!! We didnīt feel save walking home at night because of a lot of mysterious looking people. The hostel is okay, but a little dirty.Very bad neighbourhood!! It took forever to check in and online it said that we had to pay for a triple bed room because it was the only private available, but then got stuck in a two person bed, which wasn\\\'t too bad except for that the middle sank so much that we always rolled towards the middle and couldn\\\'t sleep at all. Plus we notices that there was a wooden plank placed under the bed to try and give it some support, but all it did was make it feel like there was a huge lump in the bed. Stuff is strange, I didn`t like these people. The only advantage is it`s price - 11.50 for a bed i 3 beds dorm - that is quite cheap for athens. Be aware of the fact that it is located close to the centre, but in not a very nice area of athens - 90% of all people are imigrants. I didn`t feel safe when I was walking to tre railway station at 11 pm with my big backpack. Stuff is strange, I didn`t like these people. Ok Hostel. The manager guy is really weird though, the only nice member of the staff was one of the cleaners! Was meant to be staying in 3 bed-room, but had fold out mattresses etc and crammed 5 or 6 in.... a bit weirdOk Hostel.
