We stayed for a short period if time, but everything was just perfect, from price to the welcoming people at the desk. We'll definitely return on first occasion. Thanks :)

Not that bad, clean and secure despite the situation. In general it was okay, we need to find something quickly and this hostel help us to get through the way

Cheap and Best :)

THIS IS NOT A HOSTEL!!!!!! Do not stay here ever. Not safe, not friendly, in the heart of nasty and unsafe Omonia at night, hookers and drugs, absolutely do not stay here. We want this hostel removed from hostelworld for safety reasons for other backpackers and travelers.

Do not stay at Athens House Hostel... Ever. My friend and I got there and were moved to a different hostel by the creepy staff. On our way to the new place, we saw hookers and drug addicts and that night we heard gunshots. We're pretty sure that It's actually an hourly brothel/housing for illegal immigrants. We were moved to Hotel Lazonni around the corner, which also housed illegal immigrants. This place (places?) should be shut down for numerous reasons and taken off of HostelWorld.

Awful. We get there, it's a very sketchy area. Take the elevator up to someone who looks extremely unorganized, with everything scribbled in a book and are told that they tried to charge my card and because it wouldn't let them, they gave up our booking and had to move us to a different hostel 600 meters away. That was the extent of our interaction with the hostel.

Despite an email confirming our arrival, the owner had lost our booking. His booking system consisted of a collection of numbers (with no names) scattered within a notebook, instead of an efficient system. The 24 hour reception wasn't, the showers only had cold water, the toilets stank. The kitchen had 2 forks and 1 knife. The hob was very slow and people had left mouldy food. There was no hot water. The owner dressed like a tramp, didn't give change for 2 days when we paid and shuffled about.

We arrived to this hostel in the night. Person in reception did not know about us at all. We showed him the document from booking.com. After this he admited that something is wrong. We were going with him from hostel to hostel. At the end we found free room in hostel "Argo". I have never been accomodated in such terrible room. Smell after cigarets, really awful dirty toilet with shower, hot water only sometimes, I can send photos...
