Hostel was very good value for the price. Bathrooms weren't very good, but rooms were comfortable, and there was free internet. We had read some reviews saying location was very bad, and indeed it isn't the best place in the city, but we didn't feel unsafe there, and it's very close to the metro station.Hostel was very good value for the price. The hostel wouldn't be bad, except for the fact that it's in what lonely planet calls "the seediest area of Athens" that's notorious for prostitutes and drug dealers. The place is mediocre, kind of dirty, but the location kills it. We saw a guy shooting up what was definitely drugs with a needle during the day, and I got my purse stolen at night, despite being with a group of people. The staff were so helpful with directions and answered my many questions with good english. There were not so many guests during my stay so it was quite peaceful and relaxed. Thanks to the staff who always smiled cheerfully and were happy to impart information, making sure I did'nt get lost!! Nice, clean enough, helpfull stuff, the location is not bad, internet is good, the only missing thing is a kitchen. It was a really good place to stay...complete value for money. We were quite worried about the location after all the reviews we had seen but it was absolutely fine. In a bit of a dodgy looking area, but never felt unsafe. Its a minute or 2 walk to the metro and the acropolis is about 4 stops on the same line, so easy to get around. Room was small, but bed and pillow comfy. Bathroom could have been a little cleaner, but all in all pretty good.In a bit of a dodgy looking area, but never felt unsafe.
