The area in which the hostel is located it\'s not the best, and it\'s probably a good idea not to venture out at night. Despite that, the hostel is very confortable, and the staff will help you in anything you need! Once you arrive, at the lobby, you can check a lot of travel information to plan your stay in Athens/Greece. For the price it\'s a very good option!

You get what you pay for. For 11-12 euros a night, you have a clean, quiet place to stay. There isn\'t much of an atmosphere and the neighborhood is a bit rough, but overall you have the essential: an helpful staff, lockers, safety deposit boxes, a kitchen and you are 5 minutes away from a metro station. For me, it was just fine.

Staff is really helpful and willing to help you out with directions and what to do and see around Athens. The room itself was a bit dirty but nothing too bad. Its a bit of a walk to the bus station and any sights, but easy enough to get around by asking the staff about buses.

Sketchy location. The Omonia area of athens is the worst right now and this hostel is the next metro stop. graffiti everywhere. the hostel staff told us to leave our purses if we were going out at night. the metro was close though. just a couple minute walk. there was also a really good cheap restaurant around the corner. the hostel itself was good but i would reccommend staying somewhere closer to the centre. all of athens is a bit sketchy right now, unfortunately.

accueil excellent, personnel très compétent et sympathique. dans notre chambre quadruple passage trop serré derrière et entre les deux lits superposés. nuisance sonore très importante du système aspiration d'air salle de bains.

The shower head was broken and the water temperature fluctuated a lot. However, the staff was very friendly and helpful. We booked a 3 person private ensuite; when we got there we were told they did not have any so they put us in a four person private ensuite and ensured that it would just be the three of us in the room. Very good, slightly difficult to find because a lot of the street signs are in Greek.

Super nice staff - I got there a day later than my friends, & the guy upgraded me for free so that I could be in a room with them. Location is decent - it's pretty much in the center of the city, & down the street from a metro stop, but the road itself is a little sketchy, especially at night. I was walking back around 11pm with three guy friends, & all four of us felt a little unsafe. There are people hanging out there at night, and they don't look too friendly. Room/bathroom is decent too.

For what we paid to stay at AIYH, I expected it to not be such a dump. The exterior looked run-down, the bedroom had a foul odor, the furniture was clearly several decades old, the internet was nonexistent in the rooms and spotty in the foyer, and the kitchen was despicable. I will say that the staff was friendly and helpful, but other than that, I see no reason to recommend this place to my friends. AIYH really needs a lot of work.

The fact that this hostel is closed for the Winter wasn't cool as I showed up and was told to go to the sister hostel and why I didn't get the emal. The other hostel was good. Free internet w/ wifi or their computers. The sister hostel is quiet right now since it is off peak season which suited me well. The guy who works the 4 pm shfit can improve his attitude a little bit. He needs better customer service as it seems as he doesn't want to be there compared to other people!
