We are situated just 13 minutes by car from the world heritage site of Mont St Michel and 30 minutes from the fabulous walled City of Corsairs - St Malo. The nearest beach is 5 minutes away.
There is free transport to and from Mont St. Michel every day and a free pick up
and drop off for guests arriving by train or bus. Maximum 6 people unless
previously negotiated. Last pick up is 19.30 hrs. Free WiFi is available in all
rooms. Breakfast is included in the room price. All rooms have their own private
shower room and wc.
We have a very friendly bar in the village, 'The Oystercatcher bar', where good value tasty food is available. Vegetarians catered for. .Our dining room is available for guests who would like to bring their own food. Guest fridge available.
A traditional Breton bar - The Tric'Horn Kafe - is right opposite. Sausage gallettes available Sunday afternoons. Pizzas available Thursdays. Le Bistrot du Telegraphe is 1 km away, serving a full range of gallettes and crepes. Fixed price menu available for 10 euros - wine or cider included.
If you're burnt out from the cities, come and join us in our rural (but definitely not isolated) location. There are 2 mini supermarkets within 1.5km.
Why not relax with a country walk, see the village standing stone (menhir) or take a bike and cycle to the beach - 8km. Views of Mont St Michel and shells galore - also 2 very good restaurants if you like seafood.

There can't be Unesco World heritage sites on the continent that give as much eureka for their Euro as Mont St Michel. - or that charge such rip-off prices for accommodation. But stay at the nearby Au Bon Accueil B & B - cum - hostel and they'll shuttle you there for free (or you can borrow one of their bikes and pedal out)

The best way to get from Paris to Mont St Michel is by train to Pontorson - www.voyages-sncf.com - or use the interconnecting train/bus service via Rennes.

Within 30 minutes drive there are the beautiful medieval towns of Dinan and Dol De Bretagne, the ancient capital of Brittany. See its magnificent 11th Century cathedral and experience the huge Saturday morning market. Across the unique 'Barrage de la Rance' is the holiday resort of Dinard, very British in style with its Edwardian architecture. If you're coming by car, we are an ideal base for visits to the Landing beaches, Bayeux Tapestry, German and US Military cemeteries, or even Christian Dior's house in the resort of Granville. You can visit Europe's largest Medieval fortress at Fougeres, or why not try out Sand Yatching - Char-a-Voile - available on the beaches locally.
Along the coast is the small port of Cancale, famous for its oysters, which are harvested in the bay, along with the famous mussels or 'moules de bouchots.'
