First of all, when you look at the price you might think it's cheaper than all the other options... well it's not that cheap... They charge you for the internet service, they charge if you wanna have a locker for your staff (sth like 4,5 euros, so it's not that cheap at all!)... Secondly, the place it's dirty (there were spider nets in the ceiling and the building . Plus i was so cold that i had to sleep with all my clothes on! I really mean it, EXTREMELY COLD. Pro: nice view of the bridge!

You get what you pay for. Check in not possible before 17:00. Check out not possible before 7:30. When you need a cheap bed there is the place to go.

This is a really cheap place, so you get what you pay for. The room was clean and lockable, and there is a patrolling security guard. My room was a bit chilly and rooms don't come with pillows and sheets. Also, the staff doesn't speak English, which I don't begrudge but can be a struggle if you're used to places that have English-speaking staff. They were really very courteous with me, and were willing to make special arrangements for me to leave before their normal opening times.

Its a cheap stay and you are getting what you pay for. The floor was not very clean so make sure to keep your socks on! The location is quite nice though with a beautiful view of Avignon a few steps away and you can't beat the price.

The location is nice next to the river and it´s not far to the city. The breakfast is very poor, because you can only have a have cup of coffee or something and just one butter and one jam! There´s no water in the room and the beds are covered with plastic. I think it´s ok for one night but not for longer, if you have breakfast in the city.

For the price you can't really expect more then a bed and that is all you get. Would be nice if there was a communal area of some description though. If you all you are after is somewhere cheap with a good location then this is perfect.

It's just awesome place! I really didn't expect this hostel cuz of lots of reviews here, but it's very very nice with that cheap price. Perfect location with beautiful river, quite clean bathroom. If you are the person who consider the price and location best first, I recommend this place for you, would be perfect for you! But I don't wanna recommend you to have a breakfast there, it's bad..it's just one bad thing.

It's out of the town, the rooms are terrible with basically no facilities, and when I showed up, none of the staff there spoke English. It is the only cheap place to stay in Avignon, though.

The hostel was not a hostel. It's a camping place very good located but not a hostel. The only BIG problem? LOT OF BEDBUGS. Often I read comments about bedbugs in the hostels, but never happened to me. This time I had that bad opportunity. My roommates were eaten by bedbugs. I was siiting on the bed and I had red and grey bedbugs on my clothes. Disgusting. I left the "hostel" 1 day before because of this, and I wasn't the only one. I'll never go again to the Auberge Bagatelle again!!!

For 10 euros a night you would be naive to think that you were going to get something more than very basic but this hostel is definitely not for the faint hearted. Its just about bearable to stay there one night. You didn't get any extra sheets for the bed and the showers weren't too clean. My boyfriend found dead flies in his bed and the sheets didn't seem to have been changed. Its essentially just a campsite with a few rooms. That said however, it is in a fantastic location.

Staff were not very polite. While I do not expect the, to speak English I do not like it when they get frustratde with me because I do not speak French. They often got quite aggressive towards the people stying there when we asked questions. The sheet on my bed was not clean and they would not give me another one. I spent three nights in the room and it was dirty when I came in and was not cleaned the whole time I was there

Great location next to Rhone river and in front of "Pont d'Avignon". Rough dormitories with extremelly unconfortable bunk beds, no security at all. Staff practically not existing... clean toilets and showers. Apart of being very cheap nothing else is worth recommending... won't stay here again.

Only go if you're prepared for the most basic of conditions. No sheets included. No table or chairs in the room. Only one power socket. No lockers. My things and name tag were removed from my bed after the first night, even though I was staying two. They had a large group of handicapped people at the time I was there and one could encounter sights like someone using the toilet with door left wide open or false teeth sitting on the sink. I strongly recommend to choose YMCA Avignon instead.

Of no fault of the hostel itself, some of the other guests were incredibly rude (the rudest of these was a woman working with some disabled people, who clearly felt that she had full control of the hostel). I was also woken up at 9am by the cleaning staff who grilled me, in a very rude manner, about the whereabouts and travel plans of the other people in the room (whom I had not even met). The cleaning staff were rude throughout and I was then pressured to leave before the given departure time.

Room was next to sewage and smelled awful. No top sheets/blankets unless you pay for them. No soap in the bathroom the whole time I was there. Bathrooms are pretty gross. Staff was quite nice but overall, not great. Very cheap though!
