Driving Directions to the Auberge Inn?

Please note, there is only partial cell phone service on the Island. Therefore it is important to print off or get the driving directions for the Island prior to your arrival on the Island.

From Southern Ontario via Parry Sound, Sudbury:
Take the 400 north until it becomes Highway 69. From there, get on the Trans-Canada Highway 17 east and follow directions as below.

From the east or west via the Trans-Canada Highway 17(Montreal, Ottawa, North Bay, Sudbury, Sault-Ste-Marie, Thunder Bay):
From Highway 17 get to highway 6 intersection towards Espanola; that is 65km west of Sudbury and 237 east of Sault-Ste-Marie.
Drive through Espanola and 51.2km on highway 6 to the legendary swinging bridge. You are now on the Island in Little Current.
From Little Current to Providence Bay the approximate drive time is 40 minutes.
From the Swing Drive, continue on highway 6 down the hill and you will see a large stop sign. Turn left onto highway 540 and drive for 30km to town of M'Chigeeng.
At M'higeeng (past Lillian's Crafts and gift shop), turn left when you see the gas station onto hwy 551. Drive 11.2km to Mindemoya (Note: this is the last place to buy groceries before you get to Providence Bay).
Once in Mindemoya at the stop sign (in front you will see the Foodland grocery), turn right on Hwy542 and drive for 10.1km.
When you come to a stop Sign (you will see the Hawberry House), turn left onto Hwy 551 and drive for 5km into Providence Bay.
Turn left onto the street called Eliza Jane (you will see the Huron Sands Motel). The stop is on McNevin (in front of the School House restaurant).
Turn right and the Auberge Inn is located at 71 McNevin.

Car rentals: If you do not have your own vehicle, you can rent a car. The closest rental car business is in Sudbury, where all major Canadian car rentals have an office.
