Chill laid back place - they're not trying for the party hostel vibe here - and very good for relaxing. Pretty clean overall and the wifi worked well everywhere. Staff were polite and helpful. The only thing I wished for was milk for the cereal and tea/coffee at breakfast :)

The bathrooms were a bit oddly located - only one on the second floor, few attached to actual rooms - but it didn't become an issue for me. The man who runs the hostel was very friendly. Location was great right nearby a metro station, and you can't beat the price - great value!

Dear guest, thanks for taking the time to share your experience at L'Apero! Just to clarify, there is 1 washroom-shower per dorm, and since there is only 1 dorm on the second floor, well there is only one washroom-shower. On the first floor there are 4 and guests can freely use any of them as they are located outside the dorms. Thanks again and hope to see you again :)

Absolutely loved my stay here. Hostel owner was friendly and helpful, facilities were incredibly clean, breakfast was on point. Fairly close to Crescent Street and many downtown offerings. Great value for the money. Would stay here again!

Awesome value, but the beats squeak a lot keeping you up at night, and some things are broken or unfinished. But all in, the cheapest and best location to a ton of bars and downtown!

Dear guest, thanks for sharing your experience at L'Apero! It's true, some beds do squeak, we're working on a fix! In regards to things being broken, we constantly are fixing and upkeeping the hostel and that entails guests seeing some fixtures temporarily out of service, but it is only for a short time. Thanks and hope to see you again!

Great hostel. Arrived afterhours and the self check-in was very easy. Great location and very nice, helpful staff. Only complaint was that the room was uncomfortably hot being on the upper floors of a building during a hot summer night. Would still return nonetheless!

The place was very clean. However, the fan in our room broke on one of the hottest weeks all summer and it got very hot. Overall it was a great place, nice staff, the location was right in the middle of downtown and you can walk to where all the restaurants on st catherine. There is also an amazing jazz bar down the block. I would stay here again.

I met a lot of great people here and it was just a very chilled out atmosphere. The staff were helpful and also laid back. It also helped that there was a pretty good bunch of people staying in the hostel while I was there. That improved my stay a lot.
