We were staying in a common dorm and there was a noisy party in the living room right under the room. The staff decided to move us to a private room after trying their best by talking. Everything is OK. Friendly, clean, great location, good breakfast, kitchen fully equiped, free tea and items left by other guests.

Auberge de la Paix is a lovely hostel within the walls of Old Québec City. Everything is within walking distance! The hostel itself is an old stone building with updates, making it into a comfortable, warren-ish place with interesting nooks and crannies. The staff were uniformly wonderful and I would not hesitate to stay there again. The showers are a bit dodgy, running hot and cold, but one manages!

Good place to stay for a long weekend. Staff was lovely and cordial. The one morning I tried to eat breakfast there, the kitchen was so crowded it was overwhelming, but it was a particularly busy day and I suspect it's usually fine. Big minus was that there are no locks on the outside of the dorm rooms but you do get an assigned locker. Beds were fine, location is on a well located but quiet street, and everything was quite clean.

The hostel was well located right in the middle of the old town. The free breakfast was good and the kitchen was ok. However I felt that the facilities were all too cramped. The shower was a disappointment because you had to press and hold to take a shower, otherwise the water would stop running every 7 seconds or so. Overall it was an ok hostel.

Its best attribute is its location right in the middle of downtown. No lock on the front door or dorm door, but they do have lockers for your stuff. The staff speaks with you like your family. Nice kitchen and breakfast, good recreation room. Can't wear shoes anywhere in the place and they loan you a pair of Crocs. The shower water sprays for 11 seconds, then you have to push a button to turn it on again. Saves water, but is annoying and can be heard from the dorms. Good hostel, would come back.

Beds weren't very comfortable, showers on timers and can't choose the temperature but are still warm, no lock on the door but lockers provided, great location and good kitchen

Location was great as far as being in the old city. Clean. They make you take off your shoes and they have slippers for you to wear around. Could be that we went on a low season but there wasn't much space for hanging out. Bathroom showers were annoying but there's hot water!
