Auntie Julie was super sweet. We arrived earlier than expected, but she still helped us get settled and let us drop off our luggage. She provided a map of local attractions and how to get to them with public transit, which was very helpful. The bed was very comfortable with nice, clean sheets. We definitely enjoyed our stay.
This place is truly awful, don't stay here unless you absolutely have to. 'Auntie Julie' turned out to be a chain smoking overweight man in his underpants. It's a single converted apartment, dark dirty and cheap. The sheets were awful, 100% polyester it felt like sleeping in a hot plastic bag. I didn't feel secure and honestly couldn't wait to leave. There must be better places to stay in Taichung.
Fridge leaks water when turned on, so basically the fridge is not working. Cosy room. The corridor feels dodgy but it was safe staying there. Very convenient, 5 mins walk from the train station.
the hostel is nice, clean and spacious. Auntie Julie is very nice and helpful! And it is near to the bus and railway station, this is the most important!
Auntie Julie is very hospitable. Location is not hard to find, the entrance faces a big drain, building is next to miyahara (worth a visit! Opens at 10am!). Facilities are fine, complain only if your room can do twice better.
