The room was not heated and it was very verry cold for us in there. The bathroom was clean the day of our arrival, two days later it has not been cleaned once and it was filthy . There's tram passing by in front of the hostel, which means convenience but also noise, which could be a bit annoying. Location is great, easily reachable from the airport and is actually in a pretty chic area with lots of eateries. Good location in Prenzlauer Berg, if you like the Eastern side of Berlin. Good communications to Mitte as well. The hostel is not as nice as described on the website, and when we arrived at 11.30 pm, we had to wake up a staff member to even get sheets for the second person in the room. No soap in the toilets. However, the nice staff made up for any inconvenience we experienced. It's a neat little area, not so much near to the sights but the metro stop is a short walk and there are bus stops right outside. The hostel rented out bikes so we actually just rented the bikes and biked to all the sights (which I highly recommend doing). Berlin is very very bike friendly.
